Just spotted the bit about how when wickedness is so ingrained it is part of the person quote.

This means they are total liars when they say "lurve the sinner, not the sin." In other words those who are condemned to an existence of homosexuality, or frigidity (by virtue of disobeying the divine command to "multiply") are to be hated, because that is who they are.

The "Holy Place" the disgusting thing stands in. My JW wifes mother has died.

i have just heard today that my wifes mother has died suddenly of a heart attack.

she was either in her late 60's or early 70's.

she was a jw though an inactive one.

What gets me over the whole shunning thing is that if a relative dies, and they think that they will get money, they do speak to the wicked ones.

Like Garybuss said, his son shunned him one day then went to him for money or to borrow his car the next.

daniel and vala have been saved from the fanatical ori followers, but because their savior is an ori priest and they're still trapped in "borrowed" bodies in a distant galaxy they're not exactly home-free.

Wasn't there an "outer limits" or "twighlight Zone" episode that seemed to deal with the DF issue? I saw it years ago. If those under punishment tried to speak to others or make a friend, glowing spheres floated down to stop them.

Is "love" a product of evolution?

(this focuses on romantic love with someone you might have sex with.).

looking at the world from an evolutionary/natural selection basis, life exists to reproduce.

if it can live through the process, that's fine.

Don't you think that LOVE is something that is greater than the sum of all its parts.

In primates the emotions we now as humans called "love " produce the same physiological reactions, as with cats dogs and other mammals. They experience the same physical sensations.

Yet human advancement has produced another love, that can cross centuries - this is possibly what is called a "pre-adaptation" - along the lines that some bacteria are already equiped to resist antibiotics that have not yet been invented.

i read poetry and literature from hundreds of years ago and find myself loving the author.. Have you ever listened to old medieval love songs - people felt the same things we do.

When a person feels loved and has a purpose in life he is more likely to survive. Does this make love any the less special? At the very least it stimulates our pleasure centers.

Is "hunger" a product of evolution. Does that mean there is no point to enjoying dinner?
