This whole issue is so complex that i cannot see how imams priests and elduhs can make a good decision based on stone age moralities passed down in garbled words.
Modern medicine and psychiatry is far more aware of what is going on.

Take the Alpha and Omega. I dont have the CD or litterature any more - however in the 70's (??) about 76 I think several articles came out discussing the Alpha and Omega.
One brother ( who obviously thought it is Jehovah) okayed an article saying this in the summer, around August.
The next article, only a few weeks later in Sep or Oct, said it is Jesus. This must have been okayed by a brother (also annointed) who thought it is Jesus. The idea that the SAME person checked both and okayed them is ridiculous - unless he was a complete dim bulb.
Then a while later it was jehovah again. I suspect the articles used either of them depending on what they wanted to prove.
The constant back and forth of doctrines has to reveal the schism that is at the heart of the GB - since individual members are "scrutinising" every page. ("scrotumising" I should say - from some of the explicit filth they have printed!)

on friday the 1st of march, i went to my cousins 21st birthday celebration - she has never been a jw.
my other cousins (twins) were introduced by my mother to the faith over 20 years ago (they are now 38) and got baptised when they were about 19. they both weren't that "strong" in the faith and married "worldly partners" and stopped going to meetings.. they knew i had left and i presumed they knew i was disfellowshipped for apostacy.. at the party the one twin came over to me and we chatted about life etc and she says "oh carl is going to start studying" - i looked at her a little odd and asked what it was as he already had a financial degree.
"no silly, he is going to study the truth" my face must have been a picture and in a very high voiced squeaked why would he ever consider that, he is an intellecutal guy....... she continued about how the people had changed and were so much better than when we were younger.
I'll bet if they do go to birthday parties, they dont tell the congo that. It will be a "family gathering".
