  Is the Watchtower Destroying All Thinking Skills of New Witness, Compare them to when you were in the Organization!

  many jws don't know the basic doctrines we all use to debate the clergy with.. .

  jws don't know the bible, the know a few proof-texts but can't handle the bible like the witnesses of 1950s-1990s, what happened?.

  the caliber of the new elders is horrible when compared with the elders of 1950s-1990s, they don't know how to use their bible, they are turning towards orgnazational minor details while ignoring the bible and gospel message.. .

  It is actually women who pass on the fairy stories and crap to male children from birth. When a woman tries to break free it is usually the other women in the community who try to stop her.

  Women already demand special treatment be provided for them to get on in the world. If women actually ruled the world, it would only be because men are busily providing them with creches contraceptives and special laws and provisions to enable this.

  look at countries where building the home is left to women: they still live in mud huts.

  If it werent for MEN women would still be washing their clothes on stones in the river....

  I can well imagine WWII being fought by women, pulling each others hair and slapping wildly in the air - that wd certainly have stopped Hitler - the DARLING of germanic womanhood, the Valkyrie.

  Imagine peace conferences where the politicians are in tears shouting at each other because they all have PMT. "Things have to be done MY way, dont ask why - they just DO!!"

  Health Advise Needed.

  if your sister and brother died of cancer and now your body is starting to show all the effects of the disease, would you want to know even if it might mean a death-sentence?.

  my dad, sister, brother and now mom will die from this ugly disease, all of them had aggressive forms of stomach cancer, my mother's battliing it has me putting my health on the back burner because i am very obstinate and hate doctors, why should i go see a doctor if the last four people i loved all died of cancer once they got their dx?.

  I have been regularly screened for over ten years now. They just found cancer - but because it is so early, I stand to make a 100% recovery.

  Its better to go sooner to the Toubib, than to die sooner because you went too late...

  i went to the meeting today.

  i go probably once a month for various reasons i have alluded to here.. .

  i don't know what the title of the talk was, since i pulled my usual come in 5 minutes late, muster a fake "i'm mildly embarrassed" look on my face and slip in the back row move, but the crux of it was to not go 'beyond the things written'.. .

  When you bring your lunch, bring along extra's to feed others

  last week's service meeting had brought out the experience in the 2013 yb about sharing their lunch with someone in the audience, who didn'y have anything.

  although i beleive this to be a good idea, but, i couldn't help but think how things had changed.

  the society wasn't playing by that same principle of hospitality, when they had the food arrangement at the assemblies.

  Frazzled - these very clear memories of things that did not happen are called Screen Memories - usually covering some other unpalatable thing.

  What's the Watchtower's View of Dedicating Your Time To Charity? Food-bank, Helping Poor Get Benefits, Big Brother, ect..

  do you know of anyone who sucessfully dedicated time to charity without getting bad mouthed by witness elders?

  we had a sister in creepside congregation who got a lot of lip when she was working for the food bank for free.

  the jehovah's witnesses elders hinted, used the watchtower study to say "jehovah's people are ambassadors to satan's world and know the real solution is god's kingdom".

  i remember in the days of the Book Study, the doorbel went, and there was a charity worker collecting for Ethiopian Famine Relief.

  The brother opened the doo and said:" As jehovahs Witlesses we do not contribut money to charity. Now excuse me we are in the middle of a Bible Study."

  Bet that caller never took the Witchtower again!!!!

  I had abusive treatment as a kid.

  Most of the time I say to myself "It's 40 years away now, those people are DEAD and can never hurt me again." And yes I have moved on - but sometimes... sometimes you get a flashback, and it is like being dragged right back there. I cannot watch "Good Will Hunting" without ending up a wreck.

  Truly, you can move on, and rise above it MOST of the time.

  A scar is a scar is a scar. If somebody broke your back as a child and you ended up crippled, who could say "get over it and walk, you weakling?" yet that is the kind of thing my mother does,and about others she hears about.

  But she can still harp on and on about her ex (of 40 years!!!!)

  As for the police being part of Satans System: This means that Satan wants to show care and healing love and justice to the victims - Who then looks worse here? The self appointed representatives of God on Earth or these evil people wanting to put things right if possible?

  Nothing feels worse than having your reality denied by the very people you should be able to turn to. That why i got sick of the WT, it merely enhanced my sense of non- being and unreality.

  presumably since jehoobie and his bit-part side-kick jesus (according to witchtower litterature) knew that the gibbering buddies would be the same as the farting and displeased slave, why couldnt he have just put their names in the babble so nobody on the planet could be in any doubt as to who he is using in this 21 century... (and that is another story you might like to comment on).

  after all they claim that cyrus was named, hundreds of years before.

  (dont you think it more likely the scribes put his name in, after the conquest, to persuade him to grant their requests??).
