these are not equal as jesus plainly said, and god is not the nicene trinity but they took the truth and mixed in a pagan corruption of it.

The Nicene creed isn't that hard to follow, but, as with my description above, it's certainly a mystery and very hard to say in words. The very notion of spirit is a mystery - as I described a father and son being so content with one another, in loving agreement, and having the same spirit, we could converse with the father or the son, or with the spirit they share and have individually. The Spirit is the comforting friend who yearns for God within our hearts and speaks to the Father for us, beyond words.

I see the Spirit and the Word like extentions of the same one person

That's pretty much the trinitarian view, it's just that the three are together in that way also.

The upshot of this article was that “anyone who did not accept all of the teachings of the Catholic Church was to be excommunicated” … Is it any wonder that they do not have knowledge of the Bible as Jehovah has revealed it?

Really? I think you've got to be pretty much out there for the excommunication thing - if you're already a catholic. Homocide, abortion, apostasy and heresy, if not repented of, gets you thing excommunication thing. If you insist on trying to change the moral teachings consistently and openly and publicly, after being asked not to, that'll probably do it as well. Recently there was a zealous priest who persisted in declaring and writing that there was no salvation outside the catholic church - he was excommunicated. You don't get excommunicated for having ideas about theological matters, but for insisting on moral misdirections.

What will be their end if they continue on the coarse that they are on? Jesus words at Matthew 23: 15 should help them see the need for quick change.

Well, they're already in a pit aren't they. Now they need to climb out, and like most other 'churches' in the past, the better part of people, kindness, caring, sense etc. will probably win out and change the place. Call it public opinion, or call it new light, the org will probably be changed by people power like all the other churches (apart from the ones that killed themselves). They'll eventually stop all that end of the world soon crap, and they'll start to do good deeds etc. and have some credibility - and then everyone who wants to see them suffer God's personal contempt or burn in hell won't get their fill either.

People from every religion can tell what constitutes an a***ole.
Self-righteous pride, arrogance, greed, lust for power and glory, lying to one's own being etc etc etc.
I reckon there'd be kids in the Taliban that could tell.

Any athiests here had a demon experience?

i've made friends with a mormon lady, and she told me that her 14yo daughter has thrown out all four harry potter books because she's realised they are dabbling in and encouraging demons.

then she told me about her demon experiences herself.

has any exjw, of sound mind, had a proper demon experience (as opposed to improper!!)?

Christendom basically has it right!

i saw yadirf's post (formerly friday on h20) barking about how christendom still has it all wrong regarding the trinity, immortal soul, all going to heaven, hellfire, jesus dying on a stake and not a cross, etc.. it is obvious that such people as yadirf have never visited a regular mainline church or he would not make such absurd claims, the very same idiotic claims touted by the watch tower lying and deceit society.. most christians and christian theologians do profess the trinity, in varied forms, but it is not a matter of salvation to accept it.

likewise for the soul, hell, the cross, etc.. genuine everyday christians are far more concerned about living a christian life, doing good, and following jesus.

they do witness, though informally as the spirit moves them ... which is a far more caring, considerate, and successful method then the watch tower door-to-door system.

Ah, No. What I see is people everywhere that don't know that the JWs aren't christian. Among them are those who haven't received the Lord into their homes before (orphans), and those who are mourning for losing their first grace (widows), as well as those who are literally orphans and widows. But, if they already knew that the well dressed people were in fact liars who wanted to visit them for their own sakes, they wouldn't get in the door. They dress up and come to steal the Christ within people - the kindness and care people already have.

Some well dressed people came to my door and said they were christians, so naturally I invited them in, though in my heart I knew something wasn't quite right, but at least they were trying. Later, when I realised that they weren't christians - well let's just say I was angered. The good thing is that we know now.

The wicked one - Satan - desires of the flesh, such as the lust for things - and even includes desires such as Peter had that Christ wouldn't be killed. The 'world' is under this control. Jesus looks out for, and goes to find, His sheep. The wicked power won't win out over them.

" I will destroy the name of Babylon, and the remains, and the bud, and the offspring." [Is 14.22]

The 'name of Babylon' is the name of ownership - mine, yours. Christ destroys this and not only the name, but the remains of ownership. And not only this, but the bud (the temptation to have things) and the offspring (the desire to possess). Happy are those who can truly say: "Behold, we have left all things."

Isn;t it strange how the WT society gives proper place of personage to the devil and demons but not the Holy Spirit.

The unburied dead, "those slain by Jehovah," will be so enormously many that even the carrion birds and scavenging wild beasts could never take care of their consumption. The burial of even what remains after these lower creatures have their fill would be stupendous. Doubtless the Almighty God will use some highly scientific means, whether including antimatter or not, to dispose of the surplus of decaying bodies in a speedy and sanitary way. This remains for the survivors of the "war of the great day" to see and witness. We remember that Noah and his seven fellow survivors of the global Deluge were not burdened with burying the human victims of that world catastrophe after they came out of the ark and renewed Jehovah’s worship on earth
