i know many of you who are regulars here have probably heard this before.
a dear loved one of mine has started attending the hall.
i need scriptural ammunition to combat this mind control....specifically on the "little flock" "great crowd" doctrines, the trinity, and jesus.
The question to ask is:
If a bible study becomes a JW from another religion, will their family shun them?
If a JW wants to be another religion will their family shun them?
Also, people should look into the past history of their teachings indepth and compare to current. (newcomers always have the energy for this) Have them make an observation about differences in new ones and those who have been around for years.
it seems nuts to me.
the feeding of umpteen thousand using voliunteers was their "in" with all the local press.
i know that cafeterias were still in use in '72 when i left.
My observation was that it stopped shortly after the food going to a donation basis. I saw bunches of kids eating all they could get their hands on. Did their parents know? Not only that, imagine the financially strapped (as most dubs are) trying to afford the convention and then only having to donate for food.
In my old cong there were 104 pubs, 101 hypocrites, and 3 that got df'd.

one day a lady came to my door she did not say she was a jehovah witness and she was all on her own.. she seemed very nice and started talking about having accurate knowledge and such like.
i didn't have my bible at the moment.
i said to her yes but the verse below that says that this knowledge is found in jesus i asked her what immanuel meant and she looked at me very strangly as if i had two heads.
I wish I was so lucky as to not having them come back.
Walmart exploits their employees, much as the WTBS exploits the dubs.
Target takes better care of its employees by not discriminating against women, paying for all hours worked, and a decent retirement package.
My vote is for Target.

give an answer at the meeting, what would you really like to be able to say?.......if you could've said to a householder what you really thought, what would it be?
?......if you could've told that elder what you were really thinking, what words would have come out of your mouth?................you get the idea.
what would you have liked to do or say----now that you know what you know?
Knowing what it says in the bible about false prophets, I could not say anything to "such a man".

express some doubts to a member of the gb - and have wondered about the answer ever since.. .
That is probably why my wife won't leave me. She has no education and would miss our kids. (up to the court of course, but I'm confident)
It's also amazing how the dubs lie about not encouraging her to leave. (good topic for a new post)
