I was called on the carpet for relating a store about the PO elder racing another elder at a congregational picnic. I told the truth, but he was incensed and called a committee meeting, when the other elders heard what it was about they said that this was blown out of porportion and to drop it, the elder said that if he wasnt a JW he'd punch me in the nose, before the elders in a committee meeting with Jehovahs holy spirit there guilding the whole thing. I said you just abandoned all that so take your best shot, coward.
Then there was another time that I was out in service with an elder and he was bragging about all the money he had just got in a lawsuite. He detailed cars and was hit on a dealers lot, he sued for medical and pain and suffering then sued the Dr because his sex life ended with a "botched surgry". An other brother ask me how he was doing, gues he was going to offer financial aid, I said that he was doinf fine financially. Next thing I know another judical meeting, he called personally with the invitation, really wanted a piece of me. I said fine I'd be there but I wanted his wife there also, he came back with what did his wife have to do with this. I said I wanted to have the committee consider her adultry, now screaming on the phone at me for making such slanderous accusation, I asked, "then who got her pregnant?" When I left that congregation, he read a letter of DA made up all my himself.

"This Shows We're Living In The Last Days"......Your response???
by minimus inatrocities happen all the time.
student mass murders, genocides, the ozone layer, the environment------you name it----it all points to what witnesses assert as proof that this means we're living in the "last days of the last days".
how would you respond to such ones?.

Is this normal?
by FourMs inafter i came to terms with my decision to leave the org, i suddenly didnt want to anything to do with god.
its been several months and i still dont want to hear people talk about whether there is a god or not.
or when people say that they thank god for this and that.

Yup, the brainwashing you had has preempted a view to another mention of god, as being false, bad, condemned. Thats a tactic that leads those who fall away to go back, because its the only thing they know. You made you dedication to an organinzation and what thier concept of god is. When you wake up to the fact that there is only one person that stands between you and your GOD, then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free from those feelings.
The borg answer to you religious affiliation is "I'm an ordained minister of Jehovahs WItnesses". They have short circuted the truth, made the organization, one to be dedicated and baptized too, not Jehovah. It took me a long time to recognize that my ordination was from God and not man. I am still an ordained minister, but not of the borg any more.
I did some preaching in the Morman church, funeral, the bishop was so impressed by what he heard he offered me a "high preist" position if I would join. I told him I already was a high preist, he questioned me about that statement and I simple asked him, "who stands between him and God? Jesus, was his answer. Then what postition does that leave you in, I asked? When you allow the borg to stand between you and Christ, who can you blame for the representation you get before God?

You might role play to her, by saying you have these overhelming feelings that you have hidden for someone of the same sex, and could she give you any help on dealing with those feelings, do not kown what your situation is, if your married or just love guys so she would know your were fishing, do the hyathetical and see what comes out of her. Good luck.

Was There Something That Ever Bothered U About The "Truth" While U Were In?
by minimus inwhen i used to read the prophecies of revelation and see the society's interpetation i often thought to myself, "how could this be"?
i shelved a lot of things, hoping that maybe i'd understand over time or the "light would get brighter".. as an elder, i used to wonder how they (the society) could tell the elders one thing and put into print another thing.
while the rank and file were being told at the watchtower studies how the elders were to not judge unfairly at judicial committees, the elders were told to be safe rather than sorry when it came to "removing the wicked man from our midst".

The elder arrangement was instituted while I was in prison. We studied ALL the publications and had pioneer hours set for sudy time, most of us understood the scriptural organization, and looked upon the elder arrangement as JUST something new by the organization and not Gods arrangement for HIS people. I was offered an elders posstion upon my release, which I respectfully declined. Pressured for an explaination I explained from the scriptures that the power given to the elders was not theirs to give and the blood guilt for mistakes in judging whether or not to disfellowship would lay directly on the heads of those elders. And that no human on earth could remaove Jehovahs spirit from an individual or make the claim that it no longer resided in them. To keep people in a stiritually subservant position, so as to remove and reinstated at will is spiritual slavery. The borg wants you to reach the level of truth that allows them to master over you. If you study delegently you will find the truth, as Christ said "the truth that sets you free".
They put God in a bad light by claiming that those act of disfellowshipping as guilded by holy spirit. Because they say that actions were directed under prayer under holy spirit, the spirit does not make mistakes. Men do.

Didnt think Christ "hid" anything, he taught in parables so those who didnt want to know the truth could stay stupid.
