  I'm converting again.

  2 years ago i left jws.

  i went to a baptist church because it was what my husband was.

  i knew i wanted to go to church but which one i really didn't know yet.. two years later, i think i have made up my mind: presbyterian.. anyone have anything they want to share?

  being raised a methodist. I was always going to different churches with friends. I always wanted to go to one church but it never worked out that way. To me finding a church you have to follow your heart. It doesn't matter what the teachings are unless it is the JW's. I have been to several different paths of religion from Apostolic to Church of Zion. And everything in between. I found myself enjoying southern baptist more so than the Free-will baptist. But I still went with Dave when we would go visit family. And you know something my mom doesn't go to church every sunday but she still believes, prays, and worships in her very own way.

  i thought i would post this in response to your thread.

  i know i may seem very anti-gay from some of the posts i have done over the past 9 months, but i think i will give you some more background.. .

  somehwere in my middle teen years ( cant really remember) i started having some odd feelings toward other guys, it wasnt sexual, just some kind of attraction.

  Dave that was a very brave thing you did. I think you are on the right path of healing. The more you talk about it the more you heal. I honestly think you will even heal more when you tell your Dad off. I know you will become the kind and gentle man that you always have been.

  Darin lost the election.

  just so you know, darin lost the election to city council.. .

  we worked really hard the last 72 hours.

  we walked neighborhoods, ran a phone bank, stood on the corner of a major intersection with campaign signs and waved to traffic.

  The campaign trail is heating up

  we are one week away from election day and the campaign is heating up.. .

  apparently someone is taking darin's signs down, and placing the opponents sign up in his place, even on private property.

  Life is what you make of it, now with that being said. I am at a point in my life, where I am not happy or sad. I am content. I have a job that I love, enjoying the single life, and I am with my family and friends from my childhood. I look at it this way childhood sucks and adult life sucks even more sometimes. Grandma has told me for years to live everyday as your last. and as always Love Much, Live Well, and Laugh Often! that is our family motto! And never forget to Stop and smell the Roses!

  Life sometimes can throw some curveballs

  amanda suggested i post this on here, i talked with her about it this morning.. .

  things are getting strange, there is a woman who is a little older than me, who keeps dropping hints that she wants to go to myrtle beach with me.. .

  i would feel funny taking her there as that is where we spent our honeymoon together.. .

  Ok, I know I said the last post would be my last, I can't stay away. But Dave, you have to get out of that apartment and do something. Take some of my advice and join the YMCA or some other kind of gym. I think you would feel better about yourself and who know Mrs. wonderfull might be there. You never know. I know it is not easy to be Single again after 13 years of marriage, It's not easy for me. I moved out of the city I loved and moved out in the sticks of Kansas, granted I am here with my family but it is not the same. I have a few friends now but nearly the amount I had in TN.

  im almost to the point of dating again, yet i have so many obstacles to overcome.. .

  ok I would like to reply, Dave you are a great guy, I just grew up. You were my first love. And I am sorry that it didn't work out for us. The first couple of years were great, I needed more the last five. And I wasn't getting it. I was lonely, and heartbroken when I needed you, you weren't there. I am sorry, I never meant to hurt you the way I did. I honestly think I was never meant to be married. But I wish you all the best in life, cause you sure in the hell deserve it. And someday when you least expect it your perfect woman would come along and really knock your socks off. It just wasn't me. We were two different people completely.

  with that being said this will be my last reply or response to anything on here. I don't belong anymore. For those who I have met in the past I wish you all the best! It has been fun, it has been real, and yes it has been real-fun!

  Thanks everyone for opening my eyes to see how distuctive the JW's really are! Take Care of Dave for me! He is a pretty good fellow.
