  You could study, get baptized, paw at the cute sisters and get disfellowshipped.

  You could say you are interested, ask them to wait while you dress and don't come back to the door, ever.

  You could try blowing smoke, literally.

  You could say you have some interesting literature from 1917 for them to read, and bring out The Finished Mystery book

  You could demand that they put your name and house on their do-not-call list and demand to see that written down on the territory card before they leave your porch.

  i can't stand it when i hear a person saying how god "protected our house," when their neighbor's house lies in ruins.

  i can prove this is pure, unadulterated, bullshit:

  our home was left virtually untouched, and the house across the street lost their roof.

  Glad you lucked out. I remember a sister, who lived on the Big Island for a while, saying a bro. from her congo went around saying Jehovah protected his house from a lava flow, going door-to-door. Later the lava flow went right through his house. She said it was embarrassing.
