  And another thing.

  Noticing how some are bringing up crime statistics I'd like to make a very good point. Watch the Fox TV show "Cops" sometime. The black suspects are not near as fun to watch as the white ones. The black guy robs a store and they chase him down and arrest him. The white guy robs a store, jumps in the car with his girlfriend, leads a 200 mph chase down the wrong side of the road, blows out his tires on the cops' stop-sticks, keeps on driving at maybe 80 as his bare rims melt down, leaves a trail of smoke from his overworked engine, and finally after crashing through a barricade of 8 cop cars gets out of the car with a beer in his hand while his fat girlfriend screams "don't arrest him! I love him!".

  Well Defender since you must know, I'm colored.....white.

  Learned that one from an elder. Nice guy, really funny. There was this black (by the way, don't say "colored" just say black) sister who was very race-conscious. She was standing behind him at one meeting eavesdropping listening to the conversation. I think it was a field service experience. Anyway he mentions "this colored man" and she steps up and says "what color was he brother?" and Brother W. smiles and says "white!".

  Have you ever been in a car accident?

  just curious how many people have been the driver in a car/motorcycle accident.

  i've been driving for 12 years now and have up and down the east coast numerous times, across country and up and down the west coast numerous times.

  plus my commute to work for the past 2 years is 95 miles round trip.

  Oh yeah, 3 motorcycle wrecks.

  One was my fault. The road was wet and as I started to slow down for a red light I hit the "grease strip" in the middle of the lane. The bike felt like she was on ice, just went sideways and out from under me. I slid a good 50 or 60 feet on my ass (and my back-up pistol in the s.o.b. holster).

  The other two were typical bike wrecks. Some idiot looks me right in the eye and pulls out in front of me. The last one was the last time I've ridden. I'd just spent 3 hours cleaning and polishing that bike. I jumped up, threw my helmet at they guy's car (missed), and stormed over to the geek who probably crapped his drawers when he saw the look on my face.

  "I didn't see you". Now how many times have you other riders heard that lame-brain line? "What are you fu**ing blind or just stupid?! It's broad daylight, my bike has chrome out the ass, loud pipes, the headlight is on 'bright' and you looked right at me! Maybe you could see better if I shoved that fu**ing cellphone up your ass!" Then the cop showed up. And he just happened to be a motorcycle cop. Needless to say that guy got yet another earful from the cop. Then the cop stayed to help load my bike on a friend's truck.

  Yeah I was in a bad one in 92. Some drunk hillbilly tried to turn left in front of me and we hit head on. The seatbelt saved me, only bruising my sternum. Beer cans in the back of his truck flew all over the place. The sheriff knew him and came over to me trying to act like the alcohol was mine. It wasn't. The guy didn't have insurance and told the sheriff so. The sheriff settled for writing the guy up for failure to yeild, no sobriety test, no ticket or arrest for not having insurance, and then just to be an a-hole he wrote me a ticket for "too fast for conditions" (which was promptly thrown out of court).

  I had to file it on my uninsured motorist coverage and it took over a month to get the bi*ch claims adjuster to settle. She kept trying to say the wreck was my fault, but suddenly changed her tune the last time I called and said "ok then, I'll file suit tomorrow and let a jury decide". I had my check personally delivered the next morning.

  i am sitting here listening to my kazaa, finding old songs that i had forgotten i even knew at one time.

  music to me has always been an outlet for expression, even thou the words and music belong to someone eles.

  it can help me to work thru my emotions in ways like no other .

  Yet another reason on my list to say "no thanks" to the dub's New System concept. No rock and roll! That is extreme bovine excrement! The GB can demonize rock all they want. Being grumpy old men, that's to be expected. I just don't think God would see it that way. Any kind of music takes talent, even rap. I could see Him jacking some of the lyrics, but not the artwork that is the music itself. And who could imagine that for all eternity no 16 year old kid will ever pick up a Fender (or the NS version of such) plug into an amp and entertain his friends with some power chords?

  In the words of Autograph, "Day time, night time, anytime...things go better with rock!"

  Tell your Thanksgiving stories today.

  today we celebrated our first thanksgiving, it was all i ever thought it should be.

  the table was loaded with food and everyone excited because the smell of the turkey was all over the place this morning.

  my daughter told us last night that she thinks we should tell what we all are grateful for as we sit to eat.

  Truth be told...My Thanksgiving is now made special when I hear of how others have left the bondage of The Empire and are learning to enjoy what I already have. All of you who have posted so far, my love to you. All who haven't, well post away. If you haven't had a holiday yet, get busy!

  My Thanksgiving this year was spent at my older brother's house. His wife Tina cooked a gargantuan ham, rutabegas (sp?), and a truckload of other sides. My little contribution was a big bottle of Luna di Luna Pinot Grigio and a twelve pack of Dos Equis. My bro and I went out and spent some time in the garage with his race car. We watched a couple of Star Wars movies. I also volunteered to cook Christmas dinner and got Tina to commit to having the family over to my place for my version of such. Volunteered isn't exactly the right word. More like I told them I'd never hosted Christmas before and would very much like to do so. They know I can cook up a storm so it didn't take much arm-twisting.

  the "pit" is going, the suds are flowing, and the sound from the tv permeates the air.

  i look over and i notice that i've carelessly left my laptop in a place where it's easily accessible.

  You know.....

  There are those who prefer to believe what has been programmed into them and for their entire lives will stubbornly blind themselves to the cold hard facts presented to them which attempt to shatter the sheltered world they cower in. You and I left that shelter and now we fight our damndest to shatter that false fortress the others hide behind. Sometimes our assault is met with impenetrable armor. Sometimes it devastates protection in ways we would never have expected. And once in a while, we fire a few rounds into enemy territory that make small yet crucial holes in their defenses. You and I may not lead the charge that uses those holes and we may not know for years that those shots we fired led the way. But that shouldn't make us leave the front lines of the battle and give up. You've got to keep on fighting for what you believe in and fighting for the ones you love. The only way you can say for sure that you've lost is to give up and when you do that you leave your family and friends deserted on the battlefield of truth and once you do that you've walked away a quitter, a failure, a loser, no better than the cult you once tried to free them from.

  I don't want a tombstone. Or a grave either. I want to be cremated. After all my years of preaching about how meat is either rare or ruined, I want "well-done". Then collect the ashes and scatter them from Lovers' Point over Monterey Bay in California. That's where my grandfather's ashes flew to eternity and I want mine to follow his. And no damn funeral or wake either. Try and have a funeral service and my will dictates that the police will immediately disperse it with tear gas.
