a few days ago there was a thread in which we were discussing the blood issue and jehovah's witnesses.
someone brought up pets and blood.
i was curious at that point if there was blood in our dogs food and were my wife to find out, i wondered how she would respond.. i did a little re-search on pet food and it's ingredience and here is a little what i found.. .........the protein used in pet food comes from a variety of sources.
I remember when I got in trouble for using Blood-Bait when fishing.
Man, I used to use that stuff all the time, and to think I was disobeying Jehovah the Borg all along.
This just goes to show how fanatical they are getting. I mean what's next. Don't talk to you family if they don't believe the same as you.

now i am telling you.. as i recall, sometime in the 80's (or maybe late 70's) we were told to check our pet's food for animal by-products.

Don't feed animals blood. That's absolutely crazy. I mean they're animals, they eat blood. What's the big deal. This one ranks right up there with:

well, it's getting near to the time that i determined to begin a weight loss program again.
(after the holidays).
i am really sick of diets, and hate the idea of it all, but i have to do something.
Treadmill works great for me. I run 2 miles on it at the gym before I start my weight lifting routine. I've never been much for diets, the wieght always seems to come back. I find just eating sensible and exercising to be the best thing to do.
May I also suggest you and your husband get a couple of bikes and start riding around the neighborhood this spring. I love riding bikes, especially mountain bikes and I'm getting a road bike for Christmas. There's nothing better than feeling your heart pounding in your chest after a long climb.
Remember, losing weight can be allot of fun. It makes you feel better about yourself, if you go to a gym you get to meet new people (that's how I met my wife), and no matter the results a least your doing something about it instead of just talking about it.
All of this reminds me of a talk I heard when I was young. The speaker was saying how exercising and going to a gym could lead to spiritual weakness. I remember thinking to myself "Man, now I can't even lift weights". I'm so glad I'm out of the mind control system.

If I remember correctly. In all my reading of the bible nowhere does it tell about Jesus or the Apostles shunning someone. This is one of the main reasons I left. No one is going to tell me who I can and cannot associate with.

Yep, that's one amazing book. All I kept thinking when I was reading it was WOW!!! It couldn't believe some of the stuff I was reading. I like the way Mr. Franz presents the information in a very professional way. He's not bitter or lashing out at the organization like other books do. Even though I had left the organization over 8 years ago, it was still an eye opener.
If you still want more information after reading COC. I would suggest In Search fo Christian Freedom. I just finished it and I found it even more informative than COC. It goes much deeper into the spiritual aspect of their teachings and shows how allot of their teachings go contrary to the bible. Again he's not bitter or lashing out. He presents the information in a very professional manner.
Enjoy the book and I hope it helps you see things in a different light. I know it did for me. After reading both books, I now have a renewed interest in religion. I'm ordering myself a new bible (KJV) and I'm looking forward to reading it without the organization's teaching messing with my understanding it. I'm looking forward to reading it for what it is. The word of God.

i learned tonight, from my source, that someon saw our christmas tree and reported it to the elders.. rats, our days of anonymity are likely almost over.
starting tuesday, the local congregation has the circuit and the district overseer, before their ca next weekend.
Here's what to do.
When they call and want to come over to discuss the matter, decide on a time and tell them you would be happy for them to come over. Then invite all your friends over for a Christmas party at the scheduled meeting time. When they show up, invite them in and introduce them to everyone. Offer them some eggnog and some Christmas cookies. Make them stay as long as you can. Then after they leave be sure to tell all the witnesses you know that they were at you Christmas party. That should start some nice rumors in the congregation.
If anything it's a good excuse to have a party

Oh man, we had the movie poster hanging in my homeroom class. I loved that movie. But my all time favorite 80's movies have to be Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Better Off Dead.

This is my 8th year celebrating Christmas and I'm still just as excited as the first time. I absolutely love Christmas. I do all of my celebrating with my wife's family. I was just telling my wife last night how I secretly loved Christmas while growing up. Wanted to celebrate it so bad. We went to a Christmas concert last night at the high school to watch my little sister-in-law perform in the band. The high school choir was great too.
I'm going Saturday to buy my wife a few extra things. I always go overboard with gift buying. Guess I'm making up for lost time.
