i was at work tonight and we were joking around and talking about old shows we used to watch while growing up.
i thought it would be fun if we wrote a line from a show and see if we could guess what show it came from.
my name is lenny, and if i ain't got it, there isn't any.

jehovah keeps sifting and cleanning out the organization.
this board is proof of that sifting work.
congratulations on being cleansed out of jehovah's organization because of your inmoral and prideful lives.
Wouldn't they get a shock if come to find out THEY were the disgusting thing standing in a holy place? Ah sweet irony!

a british compliment ... your'e all soooo preposterously predantic!!.
one thing that always made me question jw thinking so much as a kid, were those 3 dots in quotes taken from professionals in the magazines.
that space i always knew was a misrepresentation of facts and it interested me highly that to verify such comments was always most difficult in that position.. that lil space i reckon was one of the reasons for my very first initial doubts at around 14. i would always go further in reading than most, past the scripture given in the body of the public talk to check out whether that was in fact what the scriptures were saying compared to the brothers comments.. hooray and cheers for a questioning mind.
We're worse than....a.....Barbara....Cartland....novel.......
"I....l-l-l-love....y-you" She said in barely more than a whisper.

well, i have been reading and lurking around this site for a little bit now.
in truth i have a friend that is a christian and he has tried to get me to look at sites like this for the past 10 months.
i have always refused as it is all "apostate run" and just "packed with lies".
Wow Javagirl,
I can't believe all that you have been through and perservered! you have amazing courage. We are so glad to have you here on the board with us!! (((hugs))) I hope that we are able to help you on your road to recovery.

this is a letter i received from a jw, sent anonymously.
it was hand-written in red ink, and i have little doubt that had the composer a supply of blood handy, he or she would have written using that.. this was received in response to a very compassionate letter my wife and i sent to our former friends and family, telling them of our reasons for leaving the organization.. the attitude expressed here is typical of the treatment we have received since leaving the wtbts.
(i am roundly blamed for my wife leaving the org, since she was considered to be "strong in the truth", whereas i was always a nominal witness at best.).
They are soo full of it, aren't they!!
lol waiting! They sure are full of something and it ain't love!

i've been out of the jws for some time now, seven years.
like many of you, i left a lot of acquaintances, friends, and family behind.. the acquaintances were fairly easy to let go, the friends very hard, and the family, well, near impossible, at least up until now.
that she should listen to both sides of the story without fear and make her own decision.
Mega,
That's so great that you got a chance to talk to your mom like that, and she was actually able to listen to all you had to say. Like the others have said I hope too that some of your words have touched her heart, and that you will once again be able to have a relationship with your family once more. Well done.
