  After my un-DF'ing, I have sent a letter to everyone in my hall.

  in the final installment of my story, i am done with my local congregation now.

  in the past month, i have been df'd, un-df'd attended a meeting where i shook everyones hand and smiled ... and now i have sent everyone in the hall this letter, roughly 60 addresses:.

  open letter to the north congregation of jehovahs witnesses.

  Good evening Shaun!

  I feel you did an excellent job with your letter. Unlike others that want to bury their heads in the sand or not rock the boat, you have integrity and are bringing a terrible thing to light.   what happens when meetings have to be cancled due to power outages or something?

  i'm not talking major things like katrina.

  do they make up an extra meeting or do they just skip that one altogether?

  I live in Wisconsin. Rarely did we have mtgs. cancelled when there was a blizzard. I remember a Circuit Ass.in winter. Blizzard!! Brothers still went; when they left to go home on the interstate they were picked up by the police and all taken to the station to stay over until the storm passed. People laughed about this - you were looked down on if you didn't "brave" the storm. I thought we were to use sound minds?? I agree w/Blondie about the other mtgs. Juni

  calling all worshipers...

  even when i still believed that you had to be a jw to be a true christian (*gag*), i did not believe that the meetings (or the door-to-door crapola, for that matter) were the only way or place to worship.

  since i received real light, i actually enjoy reading the bible!

  i'm wondering how many different definitions or explainations of worship i can find here.

  Where in WI do you live? I live outside of Madison. I feel the need to have a one on one relationship w/my Creator. I don't follow any manmade religions. That one scripture comes to mind, "Let God be true though every man a liar." Nice having you join in the discussions. Juni

  The most monumental conversation with my mom and dad.

  at the meeting today, me and my family were sitting in the back.

  i've been heavily emotional lately because of the katrina disaster and my temper and sadness and all emotions have just been on a rise lately.

  well my dad was noticing that i was frowning so my father got sort of angry with me and demanded that i stop.

  Kilroy 2, hi!

  Our son was unbaptized and was announced DF in the 80's. They did away with this horrific practice after a couple of years. They didn't announce that they were wrong and people could talk to him again, but we had a WT study dealing with the changed teaching. In actuality, they changed this practice as some unbaptized woman out East sued the Society as she was DF. Her point was that she was never a "member" by being baptized so therefore they couldn't do this to her. THAT'S WHY THEY CHANGED POLICY EVEN THOUGH THROUGH THE WT STUDY THEY GAVE A SCRIPTURAL REASON.

  I wish I had not jammed the "truth" down my 4 children's throats. They should have been allowed to make up their own minds as I had in the beginning when they came to my door.

  My best to the 17 yr. old young adult. Hang in there. Juni :)

  so i was doing my paper route today and i was admiring all the different colored glazing balls that people have in their yards.

  i like gazing balls and i plan to get one for my yard.

  but i wonder, what is the point of a gazing ball?

  Now that is COOL!!!!! Never saw one of those that glow in the dark. Just go with what you like - with anything you can find a reason that it might not be good. For instance. Throw out all of your forks - someone might get stabbed by one. Juni (Have a great evening Josie)

  I remember the wind chimes no-no. Those are "gazing balls". Were very popular during the Victorian Era. Were placed in their flower gardens as decorations. As far as I know there is nothing bad about them. Juni

  Clarification - for bosses you'd have a legal recourse. For mother in laws - back to the dog dish or out the door until you can come groveling back apologizing. :)

  For this one, I would do the first 5 and if it kept up I would take my documentation to the proper authorities and have them take care of it to the fullest extent of the law. And go from there........ :)
