I had to many questions (about the WTBS beliefs) that made me feel uncomfortable in calling myself a christian.

I know of brothers at Bethel that were "gay". I had one room mate at the farm that was from San Franciso. The first day that he was in the room I asked what kind of work he did back home. He said he was a hair dresser. YIKES!!! He was ok as room mate. Never made any bad moves on me, after two months he moved in with another bethelite. They made a good couple. At Brooklyn I had a room mate that worked in the treasures office. He was very femine by nature and I thought he was "gay". I saw some going to the "MR David convention" that was held in Brooklyn, no kiddin!

The Global Picture of the Watchtower - what is it?
by truthseeker inthe year 2005 has seen many thumbs down for the watchtower.. .
in january they announced the awake!

I think what we are witnessing is the slow death of religious thinking that the GB still hangs onto. The traditions of this antiquated religion will not address the changes in communications such as the internet. The old saying is "there are no bigger fools than those that fool themselves". The GB members are the biggest fools of all for following blind teachings that reap what they sow. May they not rest in peace!

Any Ex-Bethelites Out There?
by findingmyway ini've heard some tawdry stories about the "goings on" in bethel.
wondered if any of them are true?
i don't want to repeat any of them because none of them were first hand accounts, so the stories could be extremely distorted.

WTBTS Earns $795,000 of the Watchtower Grove, Lehigh Acres, FL
by ithinkisee inthe watchtower grove in lehigh acres florida was recently sold off.
this land was purchased by the society from some well-off brothers for about $3000 a couple of decades back (1982 precisely).
it has since been bought by another jw - whom i have met personally.

Try this link http://64.45.229.253/scripts/vfpwebn.exe In case this does not work it is a link to the Clerk of the court for Hendry county Florida. The reason a person will purchase property for $100 is get out of the recording fees charged at $.7/hundered. This is charged to the buyer. So if they sold the property for $795/m the buyer would pay. They would sell it for $100 if they were doing a Quit Claim deed from one corp. to another.

King James! I would like to show him what the WTBS did with the name Jehovah that his translators came up with and how the WTBS screwed up his translation. Off with their heads he would probably say.

An interesting thought
by mann377 ineliot said, more than fifty years ago: "half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important.
they don't mean to do harm -- but the harm does not interest them.
or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

As T.S. Eliot said, more than fifty years ago: "Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm -- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves." You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you MAD!

WTBTS=relationship thief
by stopthepain in.
how many of you out there have ever wondered "how many people did i never get to meet because of being a witness".. i for one, being raised ina ultra conservative jw family ask myself that.. everytime you missed out on various activities{outside the org},you miss out the chance of meeting great, interesting people.i for one don't have 1 friend left from the religion.so even if i met just 1 person that made a difference in my life,it would have been worth more than all that wasted time.. the wtbts knows what strings to pull to keep you from thinking outside the jw box.they destroy relationships before you could ever imagine begginning one..

The WBTS has perfected the art of holding people spritural hostages! Once a person begins to think and ask questions about the doctrines and history of the org then they become a liability to the org. The only way they have found effective to hold people in the org is to use so call friends or friendships as fellow hostage takers. Once they suspect that you are a liability then the pressure from these friends are used as tools to readjust the offender's thinking.
