  hi again, sorry i haven't been able to get to the computer for days now as i am so tired when i get home from the hospital.

  yesterday i was just so out of things i had to take a break mentally and emotionally.. it is terrible seeing marco everyday being sick and deteriating.

  on sunday after church i went to the hospital and just got there in time to speak to the cadiologist.

  they sent paris hilton back to jail.

  as i have expressed on here many time, paris hilton is my least favorite of the hollywood people.

  so, seeing her escorted from the court to the police car like a common criminal, while she yelled for her mother, ...... .

  Hi to Everyone

  my name is dawn and i'm a ex-jw, who has been out since l976.

  i live in michigan, was born and raised here but also spent about 3 years in austin, texas (1 of them as a witness - the other two running amouk having fun).

  i just spent the last 2 1/2 hours on the phone with my dear old buddy, dave, (seven006) whom i've heard some of you know.

  Splendid idea - a good hard pinch would do him some good!! As would some company - he likes to kind of crawl up in his cave - I think a visit would do him some good.

  Yeah hubby and I have been thinking about him lately, those two are both cave men! *grunt*grunt*grunt* Nice to hear he's doing better and here is a shout out to ya Dave as I know you are lurking!

  Roof Repair-Could Any Brothers Give a Hand?

  a friend/co-worker of mine who is an inactive dub told me today that the old hall i went to is getting a new roof.

  however, he was upset because only "special" people are being allowed to work on it (himself not included, nor his active, in good-standing father).

  it seems you have to be "invited" to work on your own kingdom hall roof now.

  BTW, this same nut picked me up on a Saturday to take me to my first kwikbild. I had a tshirt on that had a Fender Stratocaster on it (I play guitar, subject of even more interesting threads . . .) He freaked, said i could not wear a shirt with worldly logo's on it. So we detoured to a locall store and I bought a frikkin plain tshirt. When we got to the qwikbuild I noticed immediately that the 3 sons of the most prominent elder in CNY (And head of the KwikBild commitee) had Heinekin, Van Halen, and NY Yankees tshirts on, I remember this distinctly because it screamed at me louder than the sign thing. . Then I noticed that I was just about the only one who actually had a tshirt on with no logo's of anysort. I felt like a maroon.

  LOL I remember the quick build days! One prominent family in the area I lived had not only a construction company which employed many JW's but they were involved heavily with all the regional KH quick builds in the circuit. The whole family of men were all Elders and yet their kids had to buy "special" clothes to be able to work on the quick builds because all their clothing was littered (as one elder put it) with logos of some sort.

  Too funny, I remember their Mom complaining about having to buy "special" clothing for the boys so they could go work in it......I reminded her it was a bit like her short skirts and short shorts that she couldn't wear to JWgatherings. I told her if you have worldly clothes and spiritual clothes you absolutely should know when to wear what! LOL

  The nut doesn't fall to far from the tree........

  The Day Has Arrived

  two months ago i stepped down as an elder in the cong, it was a tremdous relief although a shock to the cong.

  two and a half days ago i sent in a letter of explaination concerning why i wanted to step down and why i will be absent from the kh.

  it only took two and a half days for the accusation of apostasy to be made against me.

  Welcome to JWD concerned x !

  I will bravely start my life over dispite my knowing there will still be ups and downs, but although I have not been a poster here on JWD I would still like to thank all for the information that freely flows through these posts. I have been looking, reading and absorbing it all and even though you haven't heard from me know that your efforts are very much appreciated.

  I admire you for being so brave! It's incredible the losses one can suffer at the hands of this cult, however they can never take away our dignity!

  I have a BIL who is an Elder must be 5 decades now and he is one really smart guy Mensa material if not for the B'org.....I often wonder if he's ever figured it out or if he's just in too deep to care. I do know he would loose his livelihood and most of his family if he ever left, although I have felt for years my sister's heart isn't in it I also wonder if they don't leave just to save face. Doubt I will ever know.....as they aren't as brave as you.

  today an elder said,"elders lie because human imperfection!".

  i said,"so your excuse is human imperfections for elders to lie, yet they disfellowship people on human imperfections all the time.".

  Anyhow, I know that Jehovahs Witnesses actually teach that it is okay to lie!

  I never talk with another J.W. elder!

  It was the end of the line for me and the JW's when an Elder told me "what you read in the Watchtower and what goes on behind closed doors in the Elders room is two different things, in other words what's good for the rank and file isn't necessary what the Elders do or follow."

  Liars!

  I'm only mad because it took me 4 decades to discover the duplicity of the B'org. Had I only been bad.....gotten more familiar with the Elder and committee meetings things may have progressed faster and I would have been out sooner!

  Tragic story on news

  i went to the same hall with this lady and grew up with her son.

  tragic.. a 48-year-old mother of eight is found murdered.

  LOL you guys and gals are too much!

  The one thing I've done is go into settings and put the speed of the keyboard up to really fast, LOL freaks people out!

  lets try some other than computer pranks, we are probably annoying half the board...(
