this friday, december 7th., is our 28th wedding anniversary.
her ladyship and i intend to visit our favourite restaurant, dimitri's, for a slap-up greek meal plus a considerable quantity of excellent wine.. its a time when we like to reflect on our life together, the lows as well as the highs that we have experienced over the years.
mainly, our life has been one of laughter and fun.
28 YEARS? That's great eman! You and Your Lady deserve a congratulations! Not many can committ to much of anything half that time. Glad you're so happy!
Cheers - \!/ clink!

in a previous post, some of you talked about your current age and number of years married.
subtract and voila, many of you married young, by which i mean before 20 years of age.
congrats to all of you couples, married long and short!
Let's see...I was 25 when I got married. A year and a half later we got divorced. I'm 30 now. I think I got married too young and to the wrong guy. I've always believed that the 20's are phase two of adolescence. You grow and change too much during that part of life. Who you are at 21 is totally different than who you are at 29. So I do think getting married before 20 is pretty young. But then again, there are other people that are way more mature than me and have less baggage than I had! Haha!

last week, i told about how i watched the christmas eve sky, for santa claus, after my parents became witnesses, thinking he just didn't come to our house anymore.. here is another thing i did.
all through school (my parents became dubs before i went to kindergarten) i participated in decorating the room for christmas.
i sang all the carols, and ate the goodies that were brought my the moms.
Mulan - you last post reminded me of a bumpersticker I saw:
Imagine whirled peas.

i posted this on the thread from little_red_birdie, but thought perhaps it deserved it's own thread.. to some of the posters on this thread:.
you guys are just too suspicious.
some teens are so grown up, and have good vocabularies, because their parents talk to them, and they learn how to speak.
LB - Never had a chance to welcome you either! Glad you're here!
Andi
PS: You're fishy is a fast swimmer!
tonight, as my husband was driving our daughter home from ballet lessons, she spoke up quietly from her booster seat in the rear of the car..
"justin?".
"yes, leah?".
((((Essie, Leah, and Justin))))
I am grateful that you and Justin are there for Leah. What a lucky kid! It does sound like she has an old wise soul. I've always felt like that. Understanding too much before you're really old enough to know stuff like this. I'm sorry that she has to be confused when she visits "your idiot." Keep lovin' her and talkin' to her - you sound like a fantastic momma!

It does suck to be duped. But then again it sucks when people think something about you that isn't true. How many times have we been hurt or angry because we're misunderstood. "If only they knew..." we might think. Well, let's do to others the way we would want to be treated. But judging someone from one little post is just as paranoid as those JW's that are suspicious about little blue smurfs. Come on you guys...give the girl a chance! We don't want her to go away thinking, "Boy maybe the JW's do have something. All the opposers sure are cynical a**holes."
Andi
i am just a young teenager, and my first ever boyfriend is a jw!!
at that time i didn't even know what a jw was, no one at school ever really mentioned anything.
i had no idea what i was getting into.
Little Red Birdie,
I think I've read your mom's post. Hang in there! Do lots of research and keep an open mind. Your boyfriend doesn't realize how harmful his religion can be. But you and your mom can help educate him. Just do it kindly and patiently and don't push him. It could just push him away further. Take care!
Andi
For all you others hmm-ing out there...
You sound like all the paranoid JW's when someone new joins their JW boards. "Apostate!" they scream. "Aspostate!" Give this kid a chance! You can't always judge someone by their first post! She needs help...not criticism.
we put our first tree up, a blue spruce with white lights and a hodge podge of ornaments and a little tinsel.
it's beautiful and was a lot of fun, the kids were so picky about choosing where to put their ornaments.
anyone else have a picture of their tree to post?
Can we just Yadirt alone now? I love the way y'all are allowing him to hijack a thread by continuing to answer his posts. Just ignore him.
Andi
life is what you make it.. broadly speaking, i do believe that.
it seems to me that most persons fall into 1 of 3 categories:.
1. the well-balanced person who is a good achiever and enjoys the fruitage of his labours.
Radar,
Nobody here is saying that we are completely recovered. The borg has damaged the majority of the people here for years. Most of us are not stupid enough to think that we'll get over it in a few days or months. If you spent 20 years in the borg, it will likely take you at least that much time to recover. I know it will probably be a lifelong thing on my part. I guess I don't understand the sarcasm or anger I'm gathering from your post. What's up? If you don't agree with Englishman's ideas, go to another post.
