I spent lots of time in the Catholic church, as well as others. If it was up to me, I would love to have been brought up as a freethinker.

If you had to, what religion would you choose to be?

i was reflecting having read someone's thread about blowing off non jw family that actually it would have been so much better if i had a larger family, preferably not completely jw saturated and this random train of thought led me to thinking that if i could choose i would be catholic, because then i would have a huge family, go to really nice gothic churches with lots of candles and tortured saints and be able to go to confession (instead of lt's mobile).
also the colours of the whore of babylon always were a lot more enticing to me than the mild blues and undistracting beiges of the khs.. i think we all have religions which would suit our personalities so much better.

Rant about the post service and Internet Explorer
by needproof inthe postal service is a joke.
i am being screwed by people on ebay for not sending stuff that i sent a month and a half ago.
bearing in mind i am in the uk, i sent a parcel to oz 2 months ago now and nothing has arrived, piss poor.

I don't know - i didn't count but I was feeling faint with the numbers that were there!

So, I finally saw this last weekend. I liked it and didn't see any ties to today's Iran-US world happenings.
It's a movie for those of us who love that kind of movie--ancient Greek times, the fighting and myths that go along with it.

7 years ago today, I was 21 and exactly two months away from becoming a mother for the first time. I was not interested in religion, leaning towards athiesm, and was living in the last 6 months of the PRE-JW me.

Scary thing with my cousin in-law

she didn't know how to find them.
so i pull up the megan's law website for her state and give her the addresses of 4 sex offenders in her area.

~ I learned that anyone is capable of believing anything if they are just that very desperate to hear what they want to hear.
~ I learned that the jw's are just as full of $hit as any religion THEY claim isn't the truth.
~ I learned that jw's keep an awful lot of secrets in order to make believers out of worldly people.
~ I learned that there is a tremendous amount of love amongst people who they consider apostates or bad association, so they are among the worst ones to instill a sense of "good" character recognition in others.
Those of you who say you learned to speak in public--NO offense (I DON'T know your background on this), but is it because you did NOT go to school? High school in particular?? We always had to do a presentation or read a report of ours aloud in front of the class.

they pretty much rule out as much as they can before even considering it paranormal........which is good.
