Balsam, meant to say when I posted, I also read Dear Abby and thought the same thing you did but it's not easy.

Family members shun us.....
by Balsam ini ran across a dear abby letter in the newpaper today that made me think about our situation.
i thought the suggestion was good that dear abby gave the woman.
the reader was a white gal who marred a black man and was very happy.

Balsam and Dansk, You guys are right, we raised our kids in the cult and now are paying for it,but at the time we didn't know any better. That is what I have tried to tell my Daughter when she told me "Don't make me choose between you and Jehovah." I told her I wasn't the one making her choose, it was the watchtower society and that I was her Mother and would always speak to her and be here for her. Nothing seems to help. She told me, we could never have a relationship so guess all of us will have to live with the biggest mistake we ever made in our life. It's sad to think the society can get away with the damage they have done to families. Your right Dansk, we would have acted the same way because my son saw it was a cult first and I wanted him back in so bad, I was going to prove the society right, well I done a LOT of research and found society wrong and thats why I got out. We are labeled Apostates now.

Just want to say "WELCOME" and so glad you know the truth about the Watchtower Society. Like so many others I waisted my best years in the cult. Also like your post name.

Do the Witnesses Still Go Door to Door?
by tfsm ini have lived at my current address for approximately five years and i have not had any visits from the witnesses.
i don't really want any but here's the deal: i left "the truth" about fifteen years ago.
i wasn't disfellowshipped or anything and (since i moved to another state) it was a relatively clean break.

they will always have to do that as long as they stay in that cult.

How Can The JW's Spiritually Help Anyone...
by Honesty inwhen they aren't even sure of their own salvation?
they come to our doors telling us that we can live in paradise knowing that the wtbts tells them that even the jw's aren't assured of a place in the new system.
can you imagine how that must affect them if they stop and think about it?.

Simple-minded people can't help anyone and that is who runs the organization.

Faking time cards
by mkr32208 ini wonder if those of us who have simply faded started sending in time cards that we just made up.
you know massive placements hundreds of return visits if they would count them or just toss them out?
also how hard would it be to set up a ficticius congregation with all of us as members?

mky, love your idea.wish it was possible. I got out about 3 years ago because they couldn't take their Bible and show me how they got 607 and I showed them twice how I got 587 for Jerusalem's desolation.

one older sister said: "This tour was awe-inspiring, I have so much to tell the brothers back home. If Jehovah is willing I plan to come back every year."
I wonder if this is even true. They never gave a name and if she was going to tell everyone, she wouldn't have cared if they used her name.I think they print what ever they want to make it look like it is so. Nothing but Apostates running that organization and you would think by now most would know it.That is the WORSE organization on this earth. Their own literature proves they are nothing but liars and hypocrites.I feel for people who are sincere and believe them. Maybe after a few more of their lies, they will see the need to get out.

AN E-MAIL I GOT from an anonymous Jehovah's Witness who read my story
by Terry inon randy's freeminds site my personal story: my life in jehovah's service appears.
it is sad that you publish information on jehovah's witnesses.. you even title it, my life in jehovah's service.. but you know nothing about what it means to be one of jehovah's witnesses.. .
so you should get your information from people, like me, who know.

WHY THE MEMORIAL?
by hamsterbait inaccording to christs words at the last supper, his followers were to "keep doing this in remembrance of me" but st paul says that by taking the emblems we are declaring the death of our lord "until he arrives".. the greatest man book (i've been looking at it) says the "arrival of the son of man, jesus christ, with the angels must be invisible to human eyes.
the arrival occurs in the year 1914.
if the gb really believe this why are they still doing the memorial road show?.
