Bendrr, if you're talking about the Gulf war, I thought it was Bush Senior who sent the bombers. Am I wrong?

It's not just the dubs. My born-again co-worker's first words to me this morning was, "This is end-times prophecy coming true. It's in the Bible...." I just calmly looked at her and asked, "Really? Can you show me in the Bible where it says the World Trade Center would be bombed?"
While most religious people will be donating blood, ministers/priests administering to and comforting their flocks, the "fanatics" will continue to be fanatics!

NEW LAW IN CANADA FOR CLERGY VISITS
by biblexaminer inelders, and other clergy, can no longer go to the patient lists in hospital and scan for names.
the list is now confidential...!.
article in the newspaper of september 7, 2001. unless you stipulate, upon admission, that you desire a visit, the elders will not even know.. this change, i am sure, is based on the practice of jw blood gestapo frequenting the hospitals and scanning the patient lists under the guise of clergy priviledge, looking for jws sneaking into hospital and getting blood based treatment.. the actions of the elders was deemed against the law of patient confidentiality, and so their privelidge was cut.. elders stay out is now the new law.

BX, thanks for this new info from Canada. I had an experience when I first began to question the blood policy but was still going to meetings. My husband was out of town and I thought I was having a heart attack (it turned out to be anxiety about the org) anyways, my "worldly" dad took me to the hospital and told them I was JW. I spoke up and said, "No I'm not!" much to my dad's surprize. The lady told me, "Are you sure? Because if we put JW, your elders will come and visit you. We have an arrangement to call them right away."
Needless to say, I really, adamantly said I am not a JW. Later on I told the lady that I am a JW but did not believe in the blood doctrine and that if JW elders showed up, they would force their beliefs on me and force me to lose my life or be disfellowshipped. I also told her they should change their policy of calling elders automatically because there may be other JW's who secretly do not believe in the blood doctrine.
I wish this would become law in the 50+ United States.

Hi it's me again.
Essie said, "But I will tell you what I am going to do. I am going to once again, sit my ex down and tell him that he has to stop taking her to meetings two days in a row on the weekend. It's too much for a little one. She said to me this morning "I can't take it anymore."
I worry when you say this because I know that if my ex had told me that my girls had told him they hated meetings and couldn't 'take it anymore' I would have really laid on the guilt trip. Just looking at it from both angles. You don't want to add to her burden.
Also, can you give me your site address, please and also freepeace? Thank you.

Essie! This made me cry. The reason is with my kids it was the opposite. For six long years I was the one shoving the Watchtowershit down their throats. And their dad (my ex) was having them birthday parties and holidays. And I was doing my job of "inclucating" guilt trips on them. Essie, thank God you are out and your daughter will likely never be one of them! It breaks my heart when one of my girls says something like, "I remember I made that pumpkin and you got mad at me...." Uhhhh. My heart is broken. I wasted those precious years.

Metatron, the CO in my old circuit stated to the congregation that he had pledged a vow of obedience and one of poverty just like the Bethelites.

The number of jw is reducing?
by Nicolas ini read an article on watchtower observer about it http://watchtower.observer.org/apps/pbcs.dll/article?date=20010621&category=jwandsociety10&artno=10621002&ref=ar.
while, i was a jw, i remember that they told us that when the number of jw who go out will be bigger than the number of new jw who enter, it will be the great tribulation.
do you think that the gb will try to enter this idea in the mind of the jw?

Marvin, I don't understand your figures. How can there be a *net decrease when there continues to be an increase in JW's yearly - small though it may be.

Biblexaminer, thanks for the link. This is a great idea! I am going to make up flyers and include the "Silentlambs" information. Then I am going to go door-to-door in my sister's entire territory with these flyers. I am going to have each DNC sign their name on the petition and then I am going to mail it to my sister's congregation certified mail (anonymously), along with a copy of the flyer. I am sooooo excited! Any more ideas would be greatly appreciated!

BRITISH APOSTASY!
by silentlambs inafter reviewing the british boe letters posted here, a painful truth seems to be evident.
the british brothers are apostate.
i tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but i can no longer cover for them anymore.

Silentlambs, while reading your comments a thought came to me: What if the other Brittish BOE letters were only written in response to the Data Protection Act in that they were afraid authorities would read their letters so they had to make it look good. Perhaps they always had their little "unwritten" understanding of the policies. Another thought is that maybe the 6/1/01 letter was written only because the danger that authorities would search and read their files is over. Do ya think?
