  yeah i thinkin of going to the hall to be a spy lick everyones asses sow the seeds of truth in them bit by bit you know its just to easy and i reckon they will fall for it.think i could help all those zombiefied souls, you see if the old men at the watchtower can fool them surely i could:"any suggestions"

  The phrase "Cognitive dissonance" comes to mind. Sadly for many of them the worse things get in the org, the more determined they are to dig in deeper and show loyalty.

  Terrorism is unspeakably horrible and these "Dumb Dubs " include our families. Knock it off and stop this now.

  Incidentally, security at assemblies is not as lax as you make out.

  the various bans put on the dubs have served the borg well!.

  where does a person that doesn't: smoke, celebrate holidays,salute the flag,join the military,join clubs,shuns family & others, goes to 5 plus meetings a wk.,condems all outsiders as armegedon fodder,looks down on secular education, lives in fear (them v/s us) etc., belong?.

  the answer = only one place (drum roll please) the kingdub hall.. ya gotta hand it to them, by making the followers extream phreeks they exert a powerful control & keep them miserable, but unable to go anywhere else & fit in!.

  Reminds me of the time when a young man, having a bout of "spiritual lows" I went along to a social club, but could not relax.I did not fit in . institutionalised by the org I was only fit for the K H and Get togethers.

  Defeating The Watchtower - What Does This Mean?

  i actually wrote this post in response to a poster recently dealing with the 'defeating' of the wts.. i have started a new topic with the post as i would like to hear opinions of what xjw's and others view as a 'defeated' watchtower.. "i am not quite sure what we all want from the wts.

  what does a person mean by 'defeating' the watchtower?.

  destroying it, selling its buildings, giving the cash back to the people who bought them?

  It is tempting to think of a cataclismic end to the Tower of Power, but Of course it's a fantasy.

  I really believe that the tide is turning , the increase yearly is now miniscule with decreases in many western countries. Financially they are stretched. They are legally threatened on many fronts and changes in doctrine betray a crisis mentality.

  Other religions have faded away. In direct contrast to what I used to believe, now I think that this will happen - eventually. Did not Gamalial say something similar? Acts 5 ;34 - 38.

  I beg to differ . A real friend deserves to know the truth, even if it hurts . They must face the reality just as we did. It is devasting to learn that everything one has done was a waste of time, but I am glad that I now know.

  still feeling the guilt.

  still feeling the guilt.. why?.

  i havent done enought.. but i feel my hands are tied.. i could write to friends, call them go to the hall and make a speech,or go to assembly grounds, hand out leaflets.. but if i do any of that i will be disfellowshipped.. then no one will talk to me even my family will have problems.. but if i don't do something now what good is my current standing with the witnesses, whats the point in being able to talk to them if i don't use it to any effect?.

  do i just sod it all ,write a load of letters , even go to the hall i put my hand up and say what i really think?.

  I too am inactive, in Britain andi would love to broadcast what I now know to old friends, relatives , and especially the lad that I "Brought into the Truth".. The reason that I don't is for the benefit of my wife and the harm it would cause her. How long this can continue I don't know.

  It is reprehensible that your elders allow a Ministerial Servant to just disappear, but elders seem to be like that these days. I have got away with it for years despite some attendance at meetings. I am starting now to have dialogue with one of them , we will see what happens.

  JW Doctors can give Blood Transfusions.

  some doctors who are jehovahs witnesses have administered blood transfusions to persons of the world upon request.

  however, they do not do so in the case of one of jehovahs dedicated witnesses.

  I was talking recently to a J W Casualty Nurse, a practical minded soul who said she will get the stuff together and then ask one of her workmates to fit it up her , she will then a little favour for them next time.

  I know a natural therapist J W who tells them up front that he will respect their confidence, but if they tell him anything the elders ought to know, he will go and tell. They start the treatment on that basis.

  too late for your situation, but i'd treat her as i've come to treat my jw family: leave religion, the truth, jehovah (and the rest of that jw baggage) out of all conversations... unless they bring it up.

  and even then, don't expect much.

  i've made a few friends here on this forum in the year i have been posting, but it saddens me to hear that one of them is being treated as if they are a troll.. yes, i know, there are a few trolls that frequent this forum but we can't treat all newcomers as such.

  they come here for help and by our treating them as trolls.

  we are actually making them feel shunned.. please give people the benefit of the doubt and treat them as the human being they are.

  Quite right Lilacs,

  We all came here because we have been hurt by the Borg. (Now I am even using that name) It may be easy to mistake genuine comments for sarcasm . I believe we cannot definitively "See through" someone by computer.

  This brilliant site is doing a marvelous job,educating all number of lurkers who just read what we say and it can help them find the courage to stand up for what they deep down believe. I will not forget how encouraged I was to find so many English members.
