Cancun got battered pretty good. Now it`s our turn, but we`re getting off easy compared to them. I`m on the east coast of Central Florida, Cocoa Beach area. We`re gonna be ok I`m pretty sure. My Trip......and the hurricanes
by Alana inok.....my husband was supposed to attend a conference next week in new orleans and my daughter & i were going to join him for the weekend of halloween.
well, katrina hit and they rescheduled the conference to miami....now wilma is headed to florida.
my daughter says she thinks it's a sign that we are not supposed to travel.

i've been reading many of the threads and let me tell you that it's comforting to read that others feel the same way i have felt about being in the organization.
i'm not sure how much i can contribute as far as delectible tidbits of information, but i have replied to a couple of threads to, if nothing else, interject some 'humor' into things.

Oprah going after child molesters
by carla inon good morning america this morning, oprah was on and she is having a few shows in which callers can give tips to the where abouts of child molesters.
i don't watch her show myself but many do, obviously.
i know she feels very strongly about the issue and even went to congress to get the laws changed.

*ditto* OldFlame! I agree let all her money work for something good, which she does reguarly. She`s been where most of us are, or have been too. So she can totally relate to what people deal with on a day-to-day basis. I may not agree on everything she gets behind but the woman draws attention and can get things done!

I`m seeing a pattern here! I can see a little of me in everyone`s comments!!! Especially the last few. I was also an avid reader as a young girl, but simply just couldn`t figure out alot of the material that was covered. And I really hated sitting through the Sunday WT meetings! I always used the answers that were given when I raised my hand to participate, cause I just couldn`t elaborate on my own I felt so dumb! Good to know it wasn`t me all those years!!!!

Halloween
by bikerchic ini'm excited this year about halloween!
in the years past i've decorated my front door so it would look inviting for the trick-or-treaters to come to but never got really involved beyond handing out candy.
last year i had totally forgotten about it we were moving so i ran out and got some candy and put up a door decoration, left the porch light on and no one came!!!

Halloween is my hubby`s favorite holiday, so it`s good to see him be able to have fun with it again. His band usually always plays out on this night so he likes to get in costume for some of the contests!! He`s so funny!
