i notice that so many at the hall have these vague, chronic diseases or afflictions that make it hard for them to go to all the meetings or out in regular service.
some get all sorts of sinus problems.
others have chronic fatigue.. did these clear up after you left, indicating that in many instances these were psychosomatic?.
Much, much healthier now. My nerves were totally shot when I was in the Witnoids. I never drink to excess now. I'm starting to become a productive member of society.

i hardly know anyone that has come into the truth from witnessing recently and i certainly never get any biblestudies.
i guess the internet is doing it's job...... this myspace forum is a sickening, twisted picture of the still-disillusioned - it's great.
Do a search for "David Hillbomb". It's my old fake JW character. I thought it was pretty funny.. the pics I have on there are of some male model the good little dubbie girls will just swoon over. He's very active in "the Truth".

i have been lurking for some time and only recently started to post if you have seen my posts, i have always represented myself as a loyal jw and one who is planning to stay in however, lately my faith and commitment as a jw has been tested and, without going into details, i am having problems of faith and life that i could really use some help on.
if so, you might ask, why dont i just leave?
well, i have a wife that is a very devout jw and she would be crushed and very upset if i quit she believes it all 100% and lives to worship the borg in fact, she would be very upset if she even knew i was visiting this site.
Sounds like you arent planning on using skin cream as much as you are planning on getting a facial. A governing body facial.
You can keep these plans up for a while. What the hell do I know. Some of my ex-friends are still pulling that off and, as far as I know, have not yet killed themselves. Everyone's different though.

i've commented before that the watchtower goes out of its way to label groups of people it doesn't want you to like -- "worldly people", "apostates", "christendom".
there are scores of these labels.. people in general use them too: "spick", "n*gger", "trailer trash".
once we allow ourselves to refer to people by a label, we automatically change them from an individual to a member of a group.
This really is a good topic AA. I find it really difficult sometimes to remember the sensitivity I felt to expressions that degraded the mythological tribal diety "Jehovah" when I first started checking out ex-Witness sites. The most telling part of my apprehension was that I was already an atheist when I first looked at ex- witness web sites. The brainwashing is deep and a Witnesses dissonance can be so deep as to be completely illogical. It's something to remember if any of us personally care about the active lurking Witnesses on this website.
Don't get me wrong. I think Jehovah slurring is hilarous now. I'm pretty sure I came up with the expression "Shitnesses". I really should have patented that.

ive been on two cruises in the early 90's with large amounts of witnesses.
one cruise we had around 85 and the other 175. one night on the larger jw cruise there were 50 or so of us watching this comedian.
he started getting a little crude using words like penis so we all got up at the same time and walked out during his act.
:Once we all walked out into the hall outside of the comedy club we all started clapping! We were so proud of ourselves!
That is so f*cking pathetic.. I feel embarassed FOR you!
