Cool, thanks for checking. Im just puzzled, maybe Im blowing it out of proportion, but to follow all the WTS prophesies, it certainly struck me as a precipitating event, especially in light of what has happened since then:

- US declares war on worldwide terrorism

- world discovers that its really religious terrorism

- world turns on religious terrorism, then decides that it runs way deeper, and is a part of every religion in some form or another

- world turns on all religion, and in the process steps on god's true religion (whoever that may be)

- bang, there ya go, Armageddon...

Or am I being too simplistic? The only wrench in the whole works that I can see is that fortunately the whole world hasnt jumped on the bandwagon and it no longer appears that the US/UN is going to be allowed to march willy-nilly throughout the world in the name of rooting out terrorism...but it aint over till its over, I suppose, anything could still happen...

Dont ask ME why, but on the morning of Sept 11, after over 10 years 'out' and god knows how many wars and world events since I left, something really struck me about THIS event and I just said 'shit, if there is an end, this is the start of it'....ok maybe I was overreacting, but like I said, its not over yet, as far as I can see...

BTW peeps I have no undying desire to see this happen anytime soon, but I would like some advance warning as to when to start driving up to the Canadian Shield with my trailer-trash trailer and weapons cache thanks very much! LOL

my personal favorite: an elder once said to me at a circuit assembly back in the eighties (and why i don't remember...maybe i was smirking): "you think the devil is weak?

as for jokes, the standard: "What kind of cars did they drive back in Paul's day? Hondas..."and they rushed upon him with one Accord..."....lol

Straight up, if I recounted the number of crazy misprounouced words and poorly strung together phrases, I'd be here all day...talk about the uneducated tryin to sound smart!! LOL

One of the silliest things Ive ever heard my mom say is that in the paradise, our memories will be blanked out so we dont remember the bad things about this old world and how it went down etc....however her excuse why she doesnt want anything to do with my wife and kids (at least, I mean, theyve never been JWs!) is that she doesnt want the pangs of memories of her grandkids who will ostensibly die in the great tribulation to haunt her forever...UM EARTH TO MOM?? ARE YOU THERE??? Given your original understanding of the paradise, you should be able to spend every last minute of 'these last days' with your grandkids happy in the knowledge that if they do get roasted at armagedddon, you'll soon forget you even ever had grandkids you dolt! So whaddya got to lose??? Never got an answer on that one...

Halifax, near Dmouth border

two different ones in the east end of PEI

a few scattered througout Scarborough

Im only 32, but Ive been to school so I could prolly unnerstand some of the stuff you've written...guess Im one xJW newb that saw fit to get a decent education, including a heavy emphasis on psychology...

i recall after lockerbie in the 80s there was an awake on terrorism (with the guys in ski masks lol), but what about the most recent events?.

don't hold against me but i plan on seeing the bsb boys in march...can't help it i go for those love songs :) so come on tell me which concerts you've been to.

Last big concert I was at was of course my fave band, U2!! Miami, December 2, 2001, American Airlines arena in Miami. What a friggin magical night!

Um, SevenofNine, did you mean this spring, or last spring (2001)? To my knowledge (and Im a fanatic LOL) U2 hasn't performed as a band since the Superbowl HalfTime show in February...certainly no full concerts....
