Im sure shes not the only JW who doesn't realize that the watchtower doctrine denies their ability to approach Christ as a mediator. Many don't realize this, and many are unpleasently surprised by it.

i have to give her credit that at least she is willing to discuss the misgivings i have with the wts.
up to this point i have not.
openly stated my disbelief in the jw theology and thinks some of my attitude is just the libertarian streak in me.

in mid-1975: i grew a mustache while i was a ministerial servant (california bay area).
i recall being asked to conduct the book study while my hair was growing.
several acted odd toward me because there was still an ongoing argument about whether having such facial hair was appropriate for men of good example.
Really enjoyed this story and some of the points you made. The one about people trying to be christian while being a JW really was an excellent point. Makes alot of sence. I feel sorry for these people who have had Watchtower prejudices implanted in them and they don't even realize it.

canada is in the news quite a bit so i thought it would be interesting to show some jw stats for canada.. jehovah's witnesses in canada.
year peak pubs avg.
pubs +/- ave. prev baptised congs.
Nice to see their numbers trending down. Hopefully more people inside wake up, especially with the recent sextuplet blood fiascal. Sooner or later you would think something will come to a head with this organization and it has to either make radical change or grow paranoid and implode.

robert king discredits the wt societys 1914 teaching and in one of his latest essays has now attacked their parousia theory that goes hand in hand with the 1914 teaching.
good job, you might say.
however, he has come up with a couple of radical new interpretations that seem just as bizarre as the societys teaching about christs presence.
Ewatchman is just another guy with his interpretation of what the bible states. He is to creepingly familar to the watchtower with his crazy prophetic statements.

Thats how they deal with people who question anything, they extract them from the fellowship. It's hypocrisy at its finest.

this one was too funny... sent to me by my brother an audio tape of a talk stating that the preaching work is now over and that witnesses are in every country in the world, except north korea, somila, and afganistan (excuse my miss spellings) but really this was just too funny so funny i could not even listen to the whole thing with out screaming in laughter.
the brother goes on to say that they will not be preaching in those countries becaues jehovah god will never put his people in danger and allow them to be killed... hello... what about all those that died over no blood, and what about all those in africa rewanda that the brother told to refuse to except an id card sumilar to our ss card telling those poor brothers that it was a form of worship?
i could not believe it but thought it was just tipical of the times, too many of the witnesses are leaving, and the love of the greater number has cooled the hell off... they are grabbing at straws right about now.
Wow! Makes you wonder what the Watchtower Corps. next move is going to be in say 3-5 years? Surely they all knew about this in the upper realms of the watchtower heavies.

the other day i visited some jw relatives and they were busy studying the reasoning book in preparation for a meeting.
does anyone know whether they are going through that book in the tms or service meeting?.
penny2.
607 chronology is confusing for most witnesses so they probably chose to avoid bringing up the whole issue by deleting it from the program. I don't think 607 bce is one of their most stellar predictions. If they could drop it they would probably the easy out.

does anyone know if they have to go out in service like the other jw's?
also, are the lawyers for the society jw's?
This is going back a few years but Ol' Judge Rutherford was notorious for not viewing the service work worthy of his presence. Preaching couldn't have been so important to him since he viewed it below his status to participate in it. Just hypocrites, plain and simple!

this morning, the elder taking the field service group said that all placements of kn37 had to be counted, with the campaign ending on november 12.. placements after the campaign could be made, but not counted.
the service was all hype.. now, let's imagine that all 6,500,000 witnesses placed 50 tracts.
how many would they place altogether?.
I recieved this tract in my letterbox. Looked at it for a few seconds and seen they were pushing the false religion coming to an end theory again. I placed mine with the paper recycling as I couldn't be bothered to give it a minutes attention. This tract from what Ive seen in my neighbourhood has had zero effect and most don't even know what religion is distributing it. I really had to laugh at the sales pitch they throw in at the end of the tract though. "Act now, Don't delay, get your biblestudy before it's too late." (it was stated something like that from what I remember) Just seemed so cheesy and so sales orientated to see how they try to close the deal and push their religious ideas. Getting more and more commercial every year.
This tract will have zero effect and most dismiss it as just another quack religion pushing it's interpretation of the bible. The JW's are truly in a sheltered bubble world if they think this tract is going to spark any end of religion, or tribulation. It will create some watercooler talk for them for a bit, and exciting rumour mills will run about how the government is doing this or that to some religion. In a year or two time this tract will be long forgotten among JW's just like all the other campaigns.

not sure what im looking here for.
what is the relationship between the two, was the proclaimers a rebuttle to coc and simlar arguments?.
are the any provable misrepresentations, falsehoods, or lies in the proclaimers?.
You can only keep trying but sometimes unless she feels the true JW spirit and gets hurt she may not open her mind to it. She's a study and no doubt they are love bombing her to death and making her feel like they are God's perfect people. Funny to see how she already has developed their guilt by feeling she is not worthy of baptism, funny how they can express something as unbiblical as that upon potential new recruits. Hope she can open her eyes before she wastes years on them only to finally get hurt and leave. Once she's baptized she will relize the love is only a shell and they expect her to pull her wieght and love bomb the newbies the same way she was. Thats when she will discover truly what the witnesse are really like. Some don't learn the easy way.
