TY ((((Somebody)))). Yep, it was a blast. I took DJ equipment as well as about 750 CD's and played alot of tunes, even for her neighbors. That way, I figured there would be no complaints. (Hee Hee) I think I may have gotten a gig out of the deal from her neighbor!!! YIPPEEE!!!

Refiners, Star-I wish more could have attended. It was so upbeat, not like some dull JW event where you have to watch who's watching you for fear of "theocratic council." LOL

i just wanted to say that i had a great time at the bbq/apostofest put on yesterday (saturday) by flower and her roommate.

it was fun meeting their families and some of my fellow apostates who post here.

the food was both abundant and delicious.. thanks again for having us, flower!!.

There was NEVER a dull moment, as we listened to music and drank, drank, and drank EVEN MORE well into the wee hours of Sunday morning.

Mom and silentlambs issue

at dinner last night, i began telling my mother more about the silentlambs issue.

i told her all about bill bowen and barbara anderson and the pandelos and the 'witch hunt' to get them disfellowshipped.

at first she was defensive of the policy, until i told her they live in 3 different states.

Is great to see your mom using her OWN thinking abilities. My mom is very much the same way, and as Amazing stated, the relationship is with God. My mom stated a few years ago that she could see that the REAL apostates are the ones running the organztion. She is still in, and I do not see where she will ever leave, but its nice to see that she uses her own common sense and intelligence.

* you travel over national borders in order to attend apostofests.. * you know all the regular posters here by their first names.. * you own a collection of smurfs.. * you have been referred to as the spawn of satan more than once by a jehovah's witness (bonus points for this sort of thing coming from an elder).. * you run an anti site!.

the "please be seated" post rememded me of our experiences at the last district assemblies we attended.. it was in the nynex / manchester evening news arena and it was hot ... damn hot.

they were obviously being 'cheap' and not paying for the air conditioning to be turned on.. liam was a baby and was becoming unwell because of the heat.

he was overheating badly which is pretty dangerous at that age so we stripped him off and took him out up the steps to the concourse.
