Amazing how they at Bethel feels that any utterances any decisions any ideas that come from any of the GB -- in turns comes from GOD himself---especially when they can find a "scripture sentence" to back it up.

The Governing Body was Appointed in 1971, NOT 1919

The WTBTS "almost" admits the truth.....
by DATA-DOG induring the wt session, the org admits that the actions of eldubs can cause an eventual shortage of "qualified " brothers, and it has.
they speak of a lack of teaching as the cause.
in reality, it's the legalism and control issues within the org itself that have caused a shortage of men who are willing to reach out.

I have found in my 30 years that each congregation is different when it comes to the rules of who qualify.
in three different congregations - field service --one said national avg, one said 10, one said min. 8. Now included as a qualification is regular family worship. meeting attendance- two said regular with reason, one said no missing a meeting unless you are sick.
If WTBS wants more men they need to spell out in print exactly what a man has to do locally.

now to be saved you HAVE to be a JW - how else will one know to help Christ brothers- there is no way JW is going to be knocking on doors with the message" if you don't assist Christ brothers you are not worthy to be a sheep and be saved"!

WT 3/15/2015- to be a sheep from 1920s till 2010s understanding was how you accepted the kingdom message- now - to be a sheep it is how you treat/ support Christ brothers ( the anointed)!
Everything has become so "Governing Body- centric"! It's obey us or be destroyed! We got ours- we are on our way to heaven- you better be obedient to those GB put in charge!
with this adjusted understanding- who will keep up with the level of how you treat Christ anointed?
what will determine how much or how little your support is?
how will a person know -that to be saved you have to live a life supporting the anointed unless you become one of JW? So only JWs and those associated will pass thru Armageddon based on this WT.
where in Jesus illustrations does it say the faithful slave will lead his people's and the people's will follow and obey! Ask that of the next JW that come to your door! Also ask them if they are all going to heaven at Armageddon - who is going to run things here on earth!

Here it is again making another change or updating or restating the current "understanding". WT March 15, 2015 pages 26 -27.
1881 - christ brothers were anointed and those on earth after the 1,000 years
- to be a sheep one had to live in Gods way of love
1920 - christ brothers anointed ONLY
- to be a sheep one had to believe in gods kingdom and life in paradise on earth,acknowledge
Jesus as Lord.
1995 - christ brothers anointed ONLY
- to be sheep depended on how you responded to the message
2015 - christ brothers anointed "MEN and WOMEN" (was it just men before???)
-to be sheep one has to have the proper treatment of the anointed and support them in preaching work.
(this means that only Jehovahs Witnesses will be saved at Armageddon - it's the only way one could
even know of christ brothers)

Another reason god is a terrible "father"
by _Morpheus inits easy to look around and say if a singular all powerful were real he would stop the suffering of man and animal, a position i support.
however there is another even more basic premise i have pondered at times as well (im sure im not the first of course) : would any loving parent ever hide from their children?
consider it... our all knowing all loving father hides from us even though we cry out to know him.

Since God is not human, we need to not think of him acting like a human dad as we know it.
In Jesus explaining " the father" it is in the form of being our creator, our existence and what our bodies need to survive is how and why we look at him as " father" and not in the paternal since of the word.
God never asked us to look to him as a paternal being since he is a spirit.

In the great minds of the "founding fathers"
Gods plan took a detour because of freakin Adam and Eve and so plan B had to be put into motion since there was no such thing as a " remake human" or " Start over" project on the table.
Since JESUS spent a zillion years with his father the time came for them to temporary depart ways...what happens when someone you dearly love - your own child--has to leave home for the next 33 years- even though you know in advance for the sake of saving the lives of strangers!!

Don't Miss the Meetings - Hebrews 10:24, 25 Re-examined
by Oubliette ini recently got an unsolicited lecture from a well-intentioned but nevertheless misguided jw friend.
the gist of it was that i needed to go to all the meetings or i would miss out on "everlasting life.".
i responded that i do not need to go to meetings to have a relationship with god.

Thanks "O" for that breakdown. I have used the same points in similar scenarios with the same results. Approaching it as you mention-" this what the bible say and teach".
when I was a elder I myself would use other translations to hammer the point about making the meetings- one translation I can't remember now said "don't miss meetings" I used to use.
I repeat what someone said about the book study being "axed" I recall at a convention the society saying that it's one of the most important meetings to attend it's the place we will need once the governments close our KH's hence forth that latest photo in one the study articles with the " friends" huddled in what looks like a basement.
