@JB | If you notice in the video I put up too, you'd see the Gore supporters are just as ignorant. Of course, what you fail to realize that it is not one's political leanings which are correlated to intelligence, but rather it's the fact that these types of shows ask tonnes of people and choose out the really dumb ones.

Rick Mercer did the same thing on the CBC, it was a segment on "This Hour has 22 Minutes" called "Talking to Americans." He actually got George Bush during the 2000 election campaign to talk about how he was going to work with Canadian Prime Minister Tim Horton. I believe it's in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=seYUbVa7L7w

Has anyone ever questioned Rev 7:9 or 19:1 in the Hall?
by A-Team ini wonder what was your reaction when reading these two scriptures, especially when you were a witness?

Rev 7:9: "After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no man could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands" | Rev. 19:1: "After this I heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying, "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God" | Verses provided so no one needs to look 'em up.

Are you still scared of Jehovah?
by MsMcDucket ini remember the watchtower organization having me so scared of jehovah that i was getting paranoid.
i kept thinking he was watching me no matter where i was at.
i wouldn't dare say anything bad against the organization because jehovah was listening to me.

No I'm not scared and never was, but more scared of what JW people would think of me. I still have that feeling, though, sometimes.

Worship The Only True God----PDF!
by Atlantis in(credits go to proplog2 and metatron) http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/31661/1.ashx .
as metatron posted 2 months ago the watchtower doesn't mention anything about blood in the new book "worship the only true god".. this is a very important book because it is recommended as a "deeper" study aid for those contemplating baptism.
the united in true worship book had 24 chapters.

I've read something like this before, but had to do a little search for some info: http://www.psychnet-uk.com/dsm_iv/circadian_rhythm_sleep_disorder.htm Speak with a doctor for help in regulating your sleep pattern. Explain your history of shift work. There are many different treatments for this such as taking melatonin.

Plus, religious conservatives would oppose the use of the word "wet," for it's sexual connotations, of course.

Operation Tomorrow
by Sunspot injust to let you all know why i won't be able to post for some time...i am finally getting in to the hospital for a much-needed operation that kept being postponed.
i have been back and forth to three different hospitals and various doctor's offices for tests, x-rays, consults and then more pre-op tests and x-rays.
(i have never heard of "nuclear testing before now...i wondered if they were going to send me to nasa!

Reminds me of when my father felt crappy for months and had to go to the hospital continually with horrible chest pains. It turned out to be a rare form of pneumonia (50% mortality; most people are immune to it, but he was on immuno-suppresants), but the Prednisone he was taking somehow made it hard for the X-rays to pick that up.
((((((((Annie))))))))), I hope you will be up and going quickly.

Thunderstorms: Scare You Now?
by serotonin_wraith in.
i'm fine with storms now but before if i was sleeping and thunder woke me up i'd automatically think this could be the end.. i know an exjw now who gets nervous if there's a storm, she hasn't been able to break free completely from that childhood belief in the back of her mind.. how about you?
-
the_classicist
Well, I wouldn't be outside in a storm, but it's more exciting than not to have a cool storm go by. Geographically speaking, I live in an area that doesn't get strong storms, so storms that come by once or twice a year (like thunder, strong wind, etc) are always fun.
