I'm not familiar with US law, but can't you picket where you damn well like, as long as it's in a public place and not a safety hazard? (<---- Not true in Canada).

The Armory Art Expo (for art lovers)
by Leolaia ina few weeks ago when i was in the big apple, i went to the world-famous annual armory art expo.
this is the only for-sale art exhibit i went to where you had to pay money to go to, and it cost $24 dollars or so.
but man, the stuff there blew my mind!

That's some pretty cool stuff. I'd like to go to NY one day when I've enough $$$$. However, I'll be going to Europe before that.
From the pictures above, there appears to be art from every type of genre (not just post-modern), so that, in my books, is a "good thing."

Am I right about the WT being wrong?
by FreedomFrog inhi everyone.... i was "raised" as a dub and got baptised in '86...so in total i had been a jw for over 20 years.
i came to realize that the "way of life" i was living was in fact made up of mostly lies.
i started "questioning" the borg about 6 years ago and finally came out with almostatheist last sept. i know in my heart that they are mostly wrong and very legalist.

That feeling in which you wonder "What if they were right?" As stated, we all get it, if you have your bible handy, turn to Luke 21:8, it really helps to keep that in mind.

by Taylor S. ini was in nassau sitting on the beach, sipping a 151 pina colada, watching the jet-ski guy, all toned and tanned.
i remember thinking, he's got the coolest job in the world ... sittting on the beach all day, renting & teaching drunk & horny tourists how to ride them.
that's my fantasy .... i wanna be the jet-ski guy.

I just like reading old litarature and history. Maybe I should change my major from Aerospace Engineering to Archaeologist..I still have time before college starts. What do you guys think? Would that be a good move? Hell I made A's in US and World History. It came easy to me.
You have to remember the audience for whom Genesis is written: the Middle Eastern equivalent of hicks. Not saying this disparaginly, but I mean, at that time, the descendents of Abraham were simply tent dwellers with little or no metropolitan civilization. Genesis is written in terms that would be easy for such people to understand, especially if it came down through oral tradition before Moses supposedly wrote it (many Jews and Christians hold Moses to be the writer of the Pentateuch, but some-most modern scholars say that is impossible; of course, everyone has their bias).
Just so you know, archaeology doesn't have very many or well-paying jobs. You can still take an archaeology minor (maybe) while taking engineering, it depends on your university. Personally, if I had a strong ability in physics, I would go into engineering (but I never took physics, got 99% on my Math 12 provincial examination, though). I'm in Classics right now, if you're wondering, although I'm thinking of doing some linguistics.
If you want semi-objective notes for your bible, buy the Catholic New American Bible (not the New American Standard Bible). Even though they notes are written by the Confraternity for Christian Doctrine, they regularly call into question the authenticity and realism of the majority of texts in the Bible.

I was born in it. So was my mum and her mum before that. I suspect my father joined to piss off his parents, seriously.

You are a braver man than most. However, I know most R&F would think it to be a sin just to look in your direction, so I hope some 'students' saw your signs.
