I thought you were trying to have a decent conversation with me. You are slowly turning it into something I would rather stay out of. ( due to the vulgarity)
Cop-out!
i know from going door to door that people are generally divided as to who god is.

I accept the Decrees of the Ecumenical Councils which say, "We believe... in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the only-begotten begotten from the Father, that is from the substance of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, True God from True God, begotten not made, consubstantial with the Father, through whom all things came to be, both those in heaven and those in earth... And those who say "there once was when he was not", and "before he was begotten he was not", and that he came to be from things that were not, or from another hypostasis or substance, affirming that the Son of God is subject to change or alteration - these the catholic and apostolic church anethematises" (Council of Nicene, Profession of Faith of the 318 Fathers).
Indeed, the idea of the rejection of the Trinity is based upon sola scriptura: a flawed doctrine to begin with. Here's a syllogism someone else came up with:
Premise 1: All divine Revelation is contained in the Scriptures.
Premise 2: It is through divine Revelation that we received the Canon of Scripture.
Conclusion:
As the Canon of Scripture is not found in the Scriptures, either Premise 1 or Premise 2 is false.
If Premise 1 is false, then divine Revelations also exist which are not contained in the Scriptures.
If Premise 2 is false, then the Canon of Scripture is merely a tradition of men, and men may add or subtract books as they see fit.
it seems that the watchtower has not learnt any lessons regarding their involvement in the united nations.
perhaps they think the outcry that a few witnesses made a couple of years ago has died down.
they have been silent about the united nations for about 3 years until they published an article in the sep 15th watchtower, "walk by faith, not by sight!
Just as the Roman armies of the first century were designed to maintain the Pax Romana (Roman Peace),
Everything is about the f*cking "first century." Really, the Pax Romana was a main part of Augustus' administration and it was continued by his successors. Why the f*ck are they comparing the UN to the Roman Army?
Perhaps it's late and I'm tired, but that just really pisses me off (a crappy analogy that is).
.
most likely i will be found wherever they have shoes.

I don't regularly shop in a department store and they don't have the stuff I frequently want to buy.
However, I will either be shopping in a music/dvd store or a bookstore.
If men could screw their mothers they would never bother getting married.
I think men would rather pour caustic soda on their genitals rather than do that.
I once dated a Momma's Boy whose mother was dead.

after you got from behind the barrier that was keeping you from thinking logically and had removed the blinders that prevented you from processing information using common sense rather than the 2000+ year old superstitions of some nomadic goat-herders, did you start to find that religious-centric or god-related statements made you shake your head in incredulity?.
case in point: just yesterday as i watched the 5:00 news, a story came on about a young man who had moved from here to california.
while in california he died but the family was so poor they could not afford to have the body shipped back to new orleans.
Based on doctrine formulated by nomadic goat-hearders
Cattle hearders!
i normally don't wake up this early in the morning just to watch the space shuttle fly by, but this was a speciall occasion.
this was the last time the shuttle will be visible in this area before it lands.
there is also the fact that the shuttle fleet is being grounded again -- maybe forever.
I'm going to get up at 1am Monday just to watch the shuttle land. Exciting!
i thought some people would be interested in this, since the watchtower society has been gradually adopting (but not acknowledging the source) id-ish ideas for about a decade.. there's a new book out called creationism's trojan horse: the wedge of intelligent design (barbara forrest & paul r. gross, oxford university press, 2004).
it shows very clearly that so-called intelligent design (id) is nothing more than standard creationism masquerading as something new.
id is really just a jazzed up version of william paley's "watchmaker" argument, which in turn is a jazzed up version of the argument from ignorance -- "i can't imagine how that happened, so it didn't".
Is it better than Dawkins' "Blind Watchmaker" book?
has evolution made a monkey out of you?
for those who are interested.
