  Going out with a collective bang?

  i've been thinking recently that i should just disassociate from the jws and be done with it.

  i've been straggling along for over ten years now without believing it so it's probably about time i made a clean break and moved on.. but i really detest the fact that the announcement at the kingdom hall no longer makes any distinction between those who are disfellowshipped and those who disassociate themselves.

  what a sleekit way for the organization to disguise the fact that many people choose to leave of their own accord rather than being thrown out for supposed wrongdoing.

  It will cut down on any malicious JW gossip that you committed fornication or used drugs, etc.

  NEW TO JWN and Lovin it!! A Little about me

  hello all, i've been on this site for a few weeks (reading for longer) and i have to say this site has helped me a great deal.

  i see from reading all the posts that many many people share my views on the whole jw thing and i'm so glad i can express myself without getting into problems with getting reported to the elders or something.

  i am currently in my late 30's happily married to a jaydub with 2 kids.

  So I started on a slow Fade and I go to meetings only 3 times a month at best (mostly to keep my family company) Now when I go I can really see the ridiculousness of the whole thing.

  Now you know why the FDS insists that JW's make all the meetings.

  When JW's stay away from meetings it doesn't take long for them to see the same things that you see when you attend a meeting.

  c.t russell was, they admit 90% wrong.. ditto for rutherford.. ditto for a lot in the intervening years, wrong and wrong again, so the need for "new light".. what makes them think that the 2012 version is any more right than the previous tripe ?.

  how can they know it won't all be dross tomorrow ?.

  "good morning i have come to bring you the truth from god's word that may not be the truth at all when the next wt comes out" would be a more honest presentation..

  the evening before jesus died, he instigated two distinct and separate covenants; firstly, a new covenant which replaced the mosaic law covenant and was to be celebrated with wine and unleavened bread.

  secondly, a covenant for a heavenly priesthood who would administer kingdom benefits to the earth.

  a covenant is a legally binding agreement between at least two parties, and nobody can be a beneficiary of a covenant unless they are signatories and party to it.

  they warn the person actually reading the book that they should heed their warnings of armageddon, as it "will come in your lifetime".

  since they now pin it on the life of anybody who reads the book, only one of those who read it needs to die to prove them wrong.. if i die it didnt come in my lifetime neither!

  don t these clowns really think about some of the stuff they print?.
