Facebook Site
by Ding ini ran across a facebook site entitled "ask a jehovah's witness anything.".
it seems to be run by jw elders for jws and studies who are seeking information about "the truth.".
they don't want apostates there or wt bashing.. i wonder if some people here would like to go to that site and ask questions.. of course, it would be easy to say stuff there that would get you banned.. i think the challenge would be to be respectful and see how long they will tolerate genuine questions.. i don't know how much follow-up they will allow.. of course, if you're fading, that's not a place to post.. .

I turned the TV on this morning without checking the TV Guide.
A Tomorrow's World snake was blathering on and on about the beast of Revelation.
Since leaving the Jehovah's Witness cult I always google any religious broadcast that pops up on the TV screen.
It took less than 30 seconds to see JWN and www.Tomoorowsworld.org at the top of the rankings.
I looked at www.Tomorrowsworld.org first and the slide show told me all I needed to know about this group.
1. "Easter or Passover: Which is for Christians? Does it matter which festivals you observe? The answer may surprise you!" Passover Good, Easter Bad Easy to figure out this group is into Judaism and hates Jesus.
2. "Who Has The Truth?" A DEAD GIVEAWAY...It's a CULT
3. "What is ahead for Humanity?" What is the hope for humanity? What is the Good News that Jesus taught?
Reminded me of an Awake! magazine. 100% Cultshit wrapped in fluff to confuse the masses.
4. God's master Plan by Roderick C. Meredith Rod Meredith has been a false prophet since the mid 1950's.
I quickly switched to a real Christianj broadcast where the topic was about Jesus saving mankind from their sins.

Advice, Opinions, Please!
by mellojello indo any of you sometimes experience difficulty in shaking wt teachings?
like it intrudes in your daily life and thought and some things that may be alright, now you feel as if they're wrong or you plain just don't know.
i know the wt is a lie but i haven't lost my faith in god, i know he's there but it's hard knowing whats the right thing to do.

I shook the Watchtower's armageddon crap by reading Matthew 24:36-51.
It also helped me realize that the FDS is just a parable contrasting a faithful servan of God with an evils servant of God.
The Governing Body won the evil servant category over 1000 other entrants.
Holidays and birthdays were no problem when I read Genesis 40:20-21 and realized the Watchtower concentrated on the negative outcome instead of the positive.
What helped me most was throwing out of my mind everything the Watchtower teaches and reading the bible starting with Romans, Ephesians and Galatians and then the gospels beginning with Matthew.
It still took a while to shake the demon inspired Watchtower's influence, so don't give up.

Studied with JW grandma for 3 years and went to meetings, I have now seen the light!
by yogosans14 inim new here and im 17, going to turn 18 in 1 week.
i studied with my gradma the bible teach book and went to meeting with her and other relatives (considering most my relatives are jw except my parents) and i believe in all of it because i never read the bible for myself.
after reading the gospels i started noticing contradictions in the jw doctrine like when jesus said many would dine with the patriachs in the kingdom of heaven (yet only 144,000 jws can) which would seem odd considering the fact he adressed this to more then the apostles.

Hello Yogo and welcome to the board.
I was trapped in the cult for a long, long time until I started reading the bible (a real one, not that apostate JW 'bible') without the Watchtower beside it.
I am also became a believer when I read Romans chapter 8 one night and realised that without Jesus I am nothing. I started praying to Him ( a big NO NO in JW land) and experienced His love as He enetered my heart.
Keep looking at Jesus and no one else.
I am a member of a Baptist church but denomination does not matter as long as they teach that Jesus is who Thomas said He is... My Lord and My God!
I also came to believe that the trinity is true when I compared the Bible with the trinity teachings of Christendom.
Thank God you found out the Jehovah's Witnesses are wrong while you are young.
There are many JW's who have wasted their lives for 60-80 years becauuse they didn't read the bible alone and without a Watchtower to guide them through it.

You are messing with a stick of dynamite that has just had its short fuse lit.
Run away while you still can.
You can take the girl out of the Watchtower but you can't take the watchtower out of the girl.
Get hooked up with that woman and you will always be second fiddle in her life.
The Watchtower comes first.

A preist , Pastor , or minister of religion that uses the Bible or an i-pad , who in your eyes would command your respect .
by smiddy ini ask this because of an experience over the weekend when two witnesses came to my door , and he tried to use his i-pad to witness to me, which i wasnt intersted in.. my theory is this is going to backfire on them .
the majority of people in christendom , whether they practice it or not have a reverence , if not a deep respect for the written word , the bible , as a holy book.
a sacred book.. i dont beleive a householder who is a christian is going to be impressed by someone who quotes scriptures from an i-pad.. religous books have been considered sacred for centuries , their is an awe about them .

I don't care if they have an i-Pad, that piece of shit New World Silver Sword or a room full of main frames.
The Jehovah's Witnesses can keep shuffling down the street with their crazy doctrines, pedophile elders, sacrificial blood altar and 'death to all but JW' attitudes.

What Watchtower Belief/View Never Sat Right With You?
by minimus inbut their views on blood are just plain weird!
meat has blood in it even if it's bled.
still eating meat means consuming blood.
