The only ones that shun me since I DA'd are the local congregation's servant body that I've run into around town. I always say hi and treat them like my friends even when they turn and try to run away. I have told one of them that the GB can make him into a victim but since being freed from slavery they can't victimise anyone that stands up and defies their unscriptural demands. If only 50% of the JWs stood up to those illegitimate sons of satan the 'truth' would fade into oblivion a lot sooner.

by TheEdge in.

' do not go after them.. i wonder who these false prohets are who could be constantly saying, ''the due time has approached'?

Did you lie before getting married in the KH?
by Samuel Thorsen inas you know every young couple who is planning to get married in the kh are asked a question about "clean conduct" a week or two before the wedding.
if you admit to have been fooling around to much you can forget about the kh and go and get married elsewhere.. i'm not married myself, but i was engaged to be married once and my soon-to-be father in law (an elder) recommended a certain elder to do the marriage stuff in the kh because he was a kind of easy on the mantadory questions.. fortunatly in never got that far because me and my girl split up about 2 months before the planned wedding, but i have been to a lot of kh weddings and i know for sure that some of the couples had to lie to cover up their conduct to get married in the hall.. but how common is this?.
did you lie before getting maried in the kh, or do you know someone who did?.

They didn't ask. I would have been truthful. First girl I never slept with on the first date and she turns out to be one frigid mean you know what as soon as the ceremony is over.

Elder said I could Lie
by Es inlast week my ex husband sent a letter to the elders telling each and every one of them just what he felt about them.
as they were d/f him he figured this was his last chance.
in his letter he stated that as i had scriptural reason for divoce, so did he.

Oh well, the whole religion is a lie so it's no surprise their local sales managers follow the lead of their masters.

New Tactic Used By Society
by minimus in...or not so new-----i'm seeing that they are getting rid of people on false charges.
to the person, they are going after them and confronting them on whatever it may be but when it comes to official reasons for deletion, they are giving false information.
this morning, i heard that another elder got deleted for going to a believer/unbeliever's wedding.it was also reported that he was caught "talking to a disfellowshipped person".

Such loving provisions supplied by the FDS....NOT
Decreasing attendance, FS time, magazine sales, etc. No wonder with crap like
"is no longer seving as an elder' "has been deleted from the servant body" "is
no longer a JW"
It's so exciting to see the evil slave painting themselves into that tight corner.

Issues with claiming to be TFDS
by Check_Your_Premises ini submit the following for your thoughts and comments.
making the claim.
the single most significant problem i have with the jw doctrine, is that they claim that god chose them to be his earthly organization, to the exclusion of all others.

I believe the Governing Body was chosen as the voice of a god alright.
He is not as powerful as the God I personally chose to be my Lord and God.
Never was. Never will be.
So much for their humble claims.
Next topic, please.

there have been changes.....
by lisavegas420 inhow would you respond to the following quote.....i got this from a pro jw site.
i don't post on the site, just read.......i just wanted to know how you all would respond to this post.never let anyone cause you to doubt the organization...true there have been changes in the past in which the society readily admits to but the bottom line is that this is the channel jehovah has chosen...remember the vision of his chariot...those wheels could change any direction on a dime...it is our responsibility to move with that chariot and keep up otherwise we will be left behind with nothing better to do than finding fault with this precious organization!.
i would like to know more about the chariot wheels too....

it is our responsibility to move with that chariot and keep up otherwise we will be left behind with nothing better to do than finding fault with this precious organizationIf they didn't claim to have a monopoly on God they wouldn't be so worried about anyone finding fault with their organisation.

Customers to what WTS is selling
by doinmypart inin the 1900s the wts experienced growth because they had a product people were willing to "buy".. in recent years people just aren't buying anymore.
of course there will always be some people for whom the wts fills a need.. but people's needs have changed, which is one reason the wts is not experiencing growth of new members; and current members are slowly trickling out the back door.. annually the magazines & kms repeat the same thought almost verbatim (notice this particularly with the km).
the metings have been reduced to chiding, rarely do they discuss anything of spiritual concern.

Babylonian Business Records
by VM44 ini have read that thousands of babylonian business records exist on clay tablets, and that these alone provide proof that the year 607bce is not what the watchtower claims it is.. since business is conducted on a day to day basis, these records should provide a continuous record of each babylonian kings reign.
is there a summary of the babylonian business records?
in particular, a timeline showing the number of business tables in existence corresponding to various kings and dates within a king/s reign?.

The Governing body is good at what they do best... twisting scriptures. They start screwing around with secular documents and their ignorance is going to bring the whole sham down around their deaf ears and sightless eyes.

Runningman. In the past three years I have practically lost everyone in my life except my mum. I am young, resiliant and have a lifetime before me where I can live in freedom. I have no regrets about leaving.
But what if I was now not 26 and in this situation. But 73. An honest person, who had a crisis of concience and left. Freedom lays ahead, yes, but also the loss of his children, his faith, his view of the world.
BBG, I was 51 when I found out the truth about the truth. I knew the consequences of leaving as well as the consequences of living and perpetrating a big lie. It took all of 1 minute to make a decision of whether to be loyal to the lie or loyal to God. I don't regret a second of it because I can look in the mirror knowing that no matter what loyalty to God is more important than anything else. Basides, after turning my life over to Jesus I am assured of his promises and will be able to witness the end of an evil empire founded on lies and deceptions. If your elder friend is honest with himself he will make the right decision and you may have gained a friend for eternity.
