  got a message on the answering machine.

  our old po (former best friend) let us know that the traveling overseer is visiting next week.

  Take a deep breath and ignore the message. I remember when I had just stopped going to the meetings I did not recieve many calls, but I used to have them call me to invite me to "special" meetings. I thanked them for the invite and then never turned up! I knew that once I set foot in the KH I was on their ground and they would pounce. (Also I had pierced my ear by then and smoking he occasional fag)

  why oh why oh why are there defenders of the wts posting and participating on an apostate website?!

  surely the borg, correct me if i am wrong, tells (us)you to stay away from anything apostate.

  I agree that there is room for people at all stages here. I am not saying go away to those who express themselves with genuine viewpoints and are open to discussion. I am talking about the ones that foam at the mouth about everything even remotely anti WTS AND show no desire to listen, think and respond sensibly. I am pleased if there are lurkers here, reading and asking some questions and sometimes even getting upset about something and in a logical way responding with a valid argument! BUT it is the fly off the handle ones that constantly provoke and make no sense in their arguments other than "That is what the WTS says". It's the ones trying to "out" those in the room who are not at the stage or in the position to "come out" or "be outed".

  Why oh why oh WHY are there defenders of the WTS posting and participating on an APOSTATE website?! Surely the borg, correct me if I am wrong, tells (us)you to STAY AWAY from anything apostate. To treat it with the disdain it deserves... So WHY?, I ask you, are you participating? Are you trying to "convert" us back? Counting the time? You seem to have forgotten that you are dealing with people who have been DEEPLY affected by the borg. People who have been abused sexually, mentally, lost their family, their fiends... lost most of their lives to an organisation that has now cast them aside. I have posted things on this board that got them flames a burning high! Now we have the Danni story and OH MY GOD has that rattled the cage! So what if Danni did what she did! If your precious society has nothing to hide, then what are you worried about? Surely the holy spirit would NEVER ALLOW that to happen... (Of course it managed to appoint a MS who was a homosexual and keep him in his post for many years until HE decided to leave). Apostates are just that... APOSTATES of the WTS... most people here, including myself, have freinds and family still in... we do not hate them, on average we do not hate JW's. What part of the term APOSTATE do you not understand? If you feel we are rambling and groping in the Dark for some form of "truth" then you are sadly mistaken. Most of us saw the "truth"... hence why we are OUT! If you want to defend the WTS then get your ARSES out of an Apostate web site and get a Law degree...GOD knows they are going to need you!

  Do JC facts turn the elders on?

  i hope this doesn't sound to insensitive but even when iwas an active dub i wondered how the elders could listen to peoples sexual scenarios without getting at least a bit of a thrill.

  i'm a bit of a voyuer at heart so maybe i am making the wrong assumption but it seems to me to be human nature.

  i have never been called before a judicial committee but i have talked to others who have and they are often pressed for lots of detail.

  Ahem... personal experience here... I am a bloke. I got "caught" when I was 16 (unbaptized) "messing" around with another brother who was almost two years older than me. His daddy was an elder. Mine was not. Soooo I got hauled in front of a JC WITH me father sitting next to me and I get asked loads of questions! Oral, where when etc etc you get the picture!! HOWEVER with my father sitting there and another "Brother" on the JC, it was difficult for Bro BXXXN to ask me all the juicy questions he wanted to. I was publically reproved(unbaptized), the other person involved got off completely! (Dad was an elder...he married six months later... just before his 19th B'day...this was his "Cure" for his feelings). The only thing I was allowed to do other than attend meetings and sit there like a vegetable was the ministry work... So a few weeks later Bro BXXXN invited me out in the field and said afterwards we could go back to his for coffee (Should have known then!!). So off we went back to his place afterwards and then he started with the REAL questions he wanted answered!!! He sat me down in his lounge, with a cuppa coffee and asked me some really heavy questions... what did it taste like? What did it feel like? Was I being sucessful in fighting the urges since all this? etc etc After a few minutes my face was crimson (I was only 16) and I could not take my eyes off the coffee in front of me. I was answering these questions thinking this was being driven by the holy spirit... only I looked up and Bro BXXXN had the biggest ERECTION I had ever seen and his hand was on it (he kept it inside his trousers). Bro BXXXN was married with two kids... a son older than me...

  so in answer to your question... YES they are turned on.

  Can you be Df'ed without a JC?

  as most of you know, i quietly left the borg and moved countries.

  recently i heard from an ex jw back in my former country of residence that she had heard i had been df'ed and it was announced at a meeting... can they do this?

  How would I know that they actually sent me a letter or tried to contact me to give me the chance to "Appeal"? I mean surely they could claim they sent a letter and I did not respond... and perhaps they did even go so far as to send one to my old address!!

  Also is there a statute of limitation (think that is the right term) on being inactive? Or will they hound you until the day you die(spiritually in their eyes or literally)? I have not claimed to be a Dub since Feb 1995...seven years next month!
