a few years ago, i was diagnosed with too much iron in my blood.
most people lack iron, but i have too much.
with time, this iron lodges in the body, and it's not good.. so, my doctor told me to give blood a few times a year and this problem would be solved.
You pay your taxes don't you? Where that dollar goes after it leaves your hand is intirely in the governments hands. Same goes for the blood bank. You gave hoping that the blood is not used as a direct transfusion. If witnesses can consciencously accept fractions then that is what you were giving to.
Don't give in to those pea-brained so-called elders. They haven't a clue what is important.

well, it had to happen one day - only claire and i thought we'd be somewhat older and karl would have finished his university course.
karl telephoned earlier this week to let us know we're to become grandparents!
as karl is only 21 and has just started university i felt like reading the riot act - but what's the point!

hi, i rarely post on this forum nowadays, as linda (fullofdoubtnow) tends to do the posting from this house, but i decided to post this myself.
i am currently building an information website for local ex jws, along with a couple of ex jw friends, and recently received a couple of emails from a current jw who, according to him, stumbled on the site by accident, although it clearly states that it is an ex jw site.
he found an article i had written on jw child abuse policy objectionable, although everything i have written, both in that article and the rest of the site, is verifiable, which i told him in my reply.

i recently had a well meaning friend give the po a letter concerning me.
it was all about an incident i like to call "the picture heard around the world".
it got me to thinking about the possibilty of someone sending the elders a letter without signing their name to it.
Why shouldn't the elders respond to letters sent annonymously? The society does it all the time and they expect us to follow their every word. From their NWT that was completed without giving the translators names to articles in the Witchtower or Asleep that just say 'awake correspondant in xxxxx'. Even the BOE letters and congregational letters are not signed. They've stamped with WTB&TS.

I told one CO during his 3 1/2 hour visit to my porch that if the society wanted to simplify they could drop the CO health insurance. There are many brothers and sisters who are working poorly paying jobs and have NO insurance. They are encouraged? to contribute to the CO fund time and time again. He changed the subject very quickly.

Just some 'other' updates that have happened since this all started.
Two other families have since faded.
Several families have moved out of the congregation to other congregations in either WI or elsewhere.
The PO who was a transplant from Abbotsford, WI (30 mi. north of Marshfield) resigned his position as Presiding Overseer. Kept his eldership and moved back to Abbotsford.
Meeting attendance is dismal as well as field service hours.
Great News. The CO visit is this week. I wonder what the elders will tell him? No changes since his last visit.

so, i looked at my cell phone today, and i had a voicemail from my mother.. i called my voicemail and listened to it:.

i have never been to a xmas party so i have nooooo idea what you wear and not sure how to act.
