  Should I "picket" the JW assembly with my "apostate" friends or not?

  every year since i da'ed myself i have two good friends that are ex-jws that beg me to come and "picket'' the jw assemblies with them.

  i have turn them down every year but i kind of think i want to do it because my reasoning is that if i picket i will finally be telling jw's and the wts that i am not afraid of them.

  i didn't realize how much "fear" the wts puts into its members until the other day when i ran into my jw sister at the supermarket and she literally left her 1/2 full shopping cart and ran out of the store without speaking to me.

  We have the internet now- if a Dub wants info he can get it 24/7. I got over my guilt years ago. But if you must protest, be a ghost. I would park a van or truck with a big sign on a public right of way just before the session ends - an exit is best as they don't have time to counter you at the end of the assembly session. They look for trouble at the start of the sessions. Drive thru the parking lot or pick a good picnic area the night before and sprinkle a few small tracts - they will be found and read. Some poor dub MS will then have to police the parking lots and grounds!. Post flyer's at the motels JW's stay at- I'll bet the manager will OK it,too. Don't forget the game room for the rebellious JW kids sake. If you know that JW's are at a motel, then on the last night put tracts behind the gas cap doors to be found later when no one is watching them. Are you brave enough for that one? I was!

  My law would be that Congressmen and Senators could not give themselves a raise unless they raised the Federal minimum wage an equal % amont.

  it was hard to admit i was wrong about the wt org- my friends and family appreciated my apologies-( back in 1988-89) i finally got the kick me sign off my butt.

  my ex-wife just faded away- never to admit she was fooled or tell me i was right after all.

  i can still hope for a mea culpa from her, but i don't expect it.. shalom,.

  My Mother cried, too, on 16 yrs worth of missed Mother's days- thank G-d I was able to make it up to my parents.

  My children are in their mid 20's now and they told me a few years ago that they were sorry for dissing me all those early years. We are all older and a lot wiser now, aren't we?

  my wife is getting baptized on the 19th.. i wrote her a letter today.

  basically i asked her why she isn't coming to me to find out my concerns.

  i am the person who has the most invested in her.

  The 'absolute spiritual endangerment" principle did me in- my wife divorced me within a year after that WT article came out in 1988.

  By all means have the elders come over- ask why they have avoided getting to know you . Ask how you would be treated if you attend a meeting? Can you ask questions? Go to the meetings prepared with some dumb questions- If you make the elders uncomfortable and look badly, then they won't be so anxious for your wife to attend meetings, either, if it includes you as part of the package.- try and get the elders to treat you badly, too, at the meetings. Mention something about don't Christians show love here - ask some elders over for a get together with their wives- do the dumb question stuff and put them on the spot. Keep asking them over until they avoid you-THEN ask your wife why they are shunning you! You just have doubts and just want answers, where's the love! Your wife needs to see the elders treat you badly- hopefully her loyalty to you will win out.

  Jump up after the DF announcement and cry out " You promised me ,if I did what you wanted nothing would happen to me- you took advantage of me!!!" If you act out the part right, I'm sure you will get some sympathy!

  I am totally confused about the new "DF and DA" announcements for March 05

  i am totally confused by the new way jw's will be kicked out of the wts.

  since they no longer will be classified as df or da can i get a refund on my da and no longer be viewed as "satan" by my former jw friends and family.

  how will jw's know if someone is df or da if they are announced "no longer one of jw's?

  Maybe the GB is getting ready to pay a dividend to all active JW's from their billions of $$$. They are purging the rolodex of all inactives before they issue the dividend checks!! The check will be in the mail soon brothers.

  In 1982 our family home burned down- we bought a 32' travel trailer and were full-timers for a year. Our 2 and 4 yr kids did fine. If anyone thinks they want to do this I advise a trial run before buying an expensive RV. Close off your house- move into the kitchen and one room-set your bed up in the adjoining dining room - take the door off your bathroom and hang up a curtain-privacy is limited in an RV!. If you can take this for a month, then go for it!

  My thoughts on hating the WTS.

  " i was thinking today about hating the wts, and you know i really do, and for many reasons which i won't really get into here.. on this thought, i imagined the jwd (jesus' wacky discussion forum) website of 2000 years ago.

  i'm sure many of jesus' new followers would start threads about having their hands cut off, being stoned and the secret backroom shenanigans of the pharisees.

  all there is, is hate here!

  I spent my first two years after I got out getting even -1989 to 1991. A person has the power the shut down the door-to-door work at a KH, if he wants to put in the time. You can take all the joy out of going to the KH for them and any respect in the community. After 2 years of guerilla warfare, I got on with my life and never looked back.

  Were the doors locked at your KH, during meetings?

  i remember a time when the brothers locked the doors during a meeting.

  if you arrived late, they had to come and unlock the door to let you in.

  i also remember a time when they weren't locked.

  I know of a few KH's that posted guards in the parking lots- to keep me from hand billing the cars. I would put tracts behind the gas cap doors. That way the JW `would find them later when no one was watching- maybe a teen driver who was open to the facts. I felt sorry for the poor ministerial servants who had to stand guard in the winter. Later on I just made up a large stencil and spray painted something like "call 1-800-why-1914" , with a homeowners permission on a fence visible on exit from the KH parking lot. It's easy for someone to get the facts today- a few clicks of the mouse.
