  I would walk 5 miles to the assembly hall with tennis shoes and then change into dress shoes.( Cuts down on the blisters.)

  Carrying the dress shoes started to be a pain so I left the dress shoes at home. EVERYONE would look down at my tennis shoes and do the eye roll thing. An elder made a comment about it not looking right. I took off the shoes and walked around the assembly hall in my socks. When people asked what was up I would say, "I walked 5 miles to get here. Apparently wearing comfortable shoes to walk 5 miles to get here stumbles most of you. Perhaps, like Jesus said to the Pharisees, you should consider the more important things."

  Let's just get something straight about 1975.

  nobody ever said that the end was coming in 1975.. all the hype about this date that has continued all the way down through today came from a talk in the early 70's by fred franz.

  in this talk, franz pointed out the significance of the 7 creative days and how they correspond with 1,000-year time intervals.. he then said, "could the end come in 1975?

  there's so much wrong with jehovah's witnesses from their rigid legalism to their faux love, but let's call a spade a spade about the 1975 thing..

Lots of people were victimized by the insinuation of 1975 being "the year". The callous "it was those jumping ahead" thinking of those trying to defend the "evil empire" just goes to show the lack of empathy butt kissing drones have. How about this money making machine "setting things straight" with those they led over the cliff by being honest about their MISTAKE. Even a little kid crapping in his pants has the brains to say, "Sorry."

  i came home to find two sisters standing in my driveway.

  they looked at the signs on my car (i do house watching for snow birds here in fl) and wanted to know how to get into the business.

  and after i explained all that i said "its a really good business if you are pioneering.

  hi, i just joined this site and thought i would say hi.

  my brief history is being raised as a witness, disfellowshiped for being a normal 17 year old, spending 10 years feeling guilty and thinking im going to die and so will my husband and son.

  mother and father in it and always run out crying because they think they failed as parents cause none of their kids stayed in it.
