My belief is that God answers every prayer. His answers are either, Yes, No, or Not Right Now. I have prayers answered all the time. Mind you, I don't have everything I want but I am taken care of and I feel God walking with me through life. Sometimes when we feel like we're not being answered we need to reexamine what we're asking for. Maybe we already have the answer or the object and God wants us to find it.

Life after JW
by Mr. Rebel8 inas you all know from my introduction, i'm not a former jw.
i was raised rc, though like ever good rc, i got to church no more than twice a year (christmas and easter).
if there was a wedding or a funeral that year, i generally skip one or both of the holidays to boot.

After much prayer and research I have had the Lord reveal himself to me. I am a TRUE Christian now. I do not affiliate myself with a certain "religon". I am non denominational Christian and I attend a non denominational church. I sometimes church hop just to go see how people worship. I am very active in my church though and it makes me happy.

I know for a fact there are pedophiles and child molesters in EVERY RELIGION and in people who have no religion. Another fact, if I had been sexually abused by some "worldly person" in another religion, my parents would've made it public, made sure my preditor was prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Since he was a Jehovah's Witness, though, I got no justice. It was ok what the "brother" did to me. Hidden and excused. My parents were faced with expulsion from the congregation if they pressed charges. The people like you that like to make posts like you have here obviously didn't have happen to them as a six year old little girl what I had happen to me. I will excuse your ignorance as just that.

I Did you know Leo Peak? Mary DiAmoto? Julie Smith? Did you know anyone in Chiefland? The Aponte's, Ransford's, McIntyre's? There are tons of crazies in those little town congs. I grew up in Perry.
I wasnt't around Tally until early 90's. I know some old timers though.

EXACTLY! I felt the same way you described from 2001-2005. I got on my knees one morning and told God he HAD to give me a sign. I felt that I got what I asked for and then I prayed hard and studied hard to see what I believed. I am so proud of you for expressing how you feel and asking for help. Seriously and heartfelt ask God himself to show you what path he wants you to walk. It may not be what I am doing, so I won't tell you to do what I'm doing. God has a specific plan for each person's life. We have to ask him to speak to our heart one on one (isn't it great that He can without the Watchtower?) and tell us what He wants us to do. The question you asked, Bubble, "what do I beleive now?" is what kept me from leaving for so long. I just didn't know where I would land after leaving and that was scary. I started church hopping. I read this site a lot..and still do. I read a lot of books like The Purpose Driven Life, Connecting, The Case for Faith, and several different Bible translations of key texts. I was in a book or on the internet hours every day and then I finally found a church I loved and was baptized in a non denominational Christian Church. If you ever just want someone to talk to who has been in the exact same place as you and was scared to death, email me and I'll send you my phone number. You can find true worship that feels great to you and to God and that will be my prayer for you today.
