  Were you criticized for being outspoken & lacking tact?

  i seemed to have a problem with the people there because i am outspoken.

  (and this was all before i had any clues to how bad the whole thing was.

  ) i am just an outspoken person in general and my family (not dubs) are also outspoken.

  When I wanted to pioneer the elders met with me and I just thought it was a formality to see if I could handle putting in that many hours. WOW, WAS I MISTAKEN!!!!!!!!!!!! It was come in here my child so we can rip you to peices...................that they did----------what a horrible memory, my heart sank when I realized they are not going to encourage me, they are picking out every flaw I had since I was a child I just couldn't believe what I was hearing. Well one flaw that was pointed out to me by the three stooges was YOU HAVE NO TACT.............".yeah so" I said, then they proceed to insult my family by saying well we know it is not your fault because you family has not tact either so it was the way you were raised.

  Oh thank you wise stooges for pointing this out to me, but don't you have to be a little forward to be a pioneer, you are put in awkward circumstance that you might have to be a little blunt, Jesus by all means was forward and blunt........................I look back now and can't believe I sat through that and cried for a week and still pioneered. The funny fact was those three stooges were the most tactless men in our congregations at the time.................picking on a poor kid who wanted to do more for God............I hate them-------------there hows that for Tact...............

  My car just got stolen !

  woke up this morning to check on my car... and it was gone.

  someone has taken my geo tracker convertable 4x4.. damn now what?

  i filed a police report and have to call my agent tomorrow.. .

  So sorry to hear that Putter, we had our car stolen, my husband rubbed his eyes thinking did I park it at the top of the hill, so he ran there to check.............but it was gone......you think you are dreaming when this happens............Hey, I thought things like this didn't happen in paradise? Well you know you live on an Island so they can't leave with it..................I hope you find it...............it took 7monthes for the cops to find our car............not much left to it but a frame of what used to be a nice car.............good luck with finding yours my friend..........why do bad things happen to good people?

  My hubby was the TMS overseer, so that meant I was often asked to give fill in talks........I hated it,but I couldn't say no to my hubby, it was hard enough to get volunteers. Well anyway, this fat elders wife came up to me out in service and told me she needed me to do her talk because she was getting a permanate that day and wasn't sure how her hair would look that night........................................HOW LAME.....................I SAID NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and another sister said she couldn't do her talk because she was to fat to get up on the stage...................these are excuses as lame as they are, it is what worked for them................

  did you ever notice that, when a dub moves, all the other dubs help?

  i remember many a time when someone moved, the person would just pass it around to everyone in the kingkong hall, and they'd all show up to help.

  those who had trucks were obligated to show up.

  Get this nerve, my hubby gets a call from some brother we don't even know, saying he was driving a Semi-Moving Rig from down south and he wanted my husbands to arrange to have some of our local brothers to meet him over at a storage unit to help him unload this huge moving truck. What the he**.Is that nervey or what, we didn't no him nor did we owe him this help, my hubby said: We can't even get brothers to help our local friends in a move let alone help someone from out of state, who got our phone number........but my hubby was very diplomatic, he asked: where the storage unit was and he would try to arrange to get some brothers to meet him.........the man hung feeling loved , and my husband said to me: YEAH RIGHT BUDDY AND WENT ON WITH HIS DAY LIKE HE NEVER GOT THE CALL...............that trucker never called back.................could it be the brotherly love he was hoping for.............NOT,HOW THE HECK DID HE EVEN GET OUR NUMBER?

  We have this brother who is fading, well he put a big sign in his window that reads "READ GODS WORD THE BIBLE". Okay what ever. So the witnesses are in his area and start to complain about it, saying we think he is becoming an apostate. So one sister tells me about it and I said "WHATS THE BIG DEAL, THE SOCIETY HAS THE SAME SIGN PLASTERED ON THE SIDE OF THEIR BUILDING IN NEW YORK". Well that shut her up pretty quick. I told her if he wants to put that there, he can it is his home, isn't that why YOU go door to door, to get people to read their Bibles. So he prefers to put a sign up, if the Society can do than so can he...................They are so judgemental.

  when people post to jwd, do you make an effort to understand "who" they are and take an interest in their wellbeing, or are they just 'ghosts in a machine' there to entertain you?

  do the people here fall somewhere in-between for you?

  Of course we are real, if you pinch us do we not say OUCH, if you cut us do we not BLEED.

  Well of course you can't do that over a computer screen, but baby we are real people out here and I'm glad you are all there for me...............I view you all part of my group therapy, whether you want to be or not, I value your thoughts, expierences and opinions. I try to give from my heart and soul back to you, if I could reach out and give you all a group hug I would. You all are more real than what you would find in any Kingdum Hall. Now those are the ones that are not real.........at least here when something is not right you are aloud to express it........................I said it before I feel very safe here and I want to thank you all and certainly Simon for working so hard with this site..................YOU ALL ARE REAL PEOPLE AND SOME OF THE BEST I WOULD EVER WANT TO MEET!

  help, i'm finnaly going to do it.. i've been putting it off for 8 years.

  i'm finnaly biting the bullet and getting it done.. at 10am tomorrow morning i'm getting my wisdom teeth taken out.. .

  You will have "chipmonk cheeks" for a few days, put ice in 2 ziplock bags and wrap in a thin towel and place on each side of your jaw...........it helped me, time for shakes and soup for a few days..........enjoy!

  April 19,1995-May we never forget

  april 19 is the seventh anniversary of the bombing of the murrah federal building in oklahoma city.in the light of the more recent tragedies in new york city and washington,d.c.,this is just a reminder that the survivors of this tragedy are still recovering,and still mourning the loss of their loved ones.please,take a moment to remember them in your thoughts.. if you ever have the opportunity to visit the okc national memorial,please do so...you will come away with a whole new appreciation for life,and how truly fragile it is.. .

  Our hearts go out to you and all others who are going through the pain of that fateful day--10 years ago, I too like many remember where I was and who I was with....an elderly sister 85, I was bringing her lunch to her and she pointed to the TV and said a bomb went off in OKC and people are trapped inside.........she was so afraid for the ones that were trapped, I stayed right by her side and just watched saying why? SO BIG HUGS TO YOU AND ALL OTHER SUFFERING FROM THE PAIN OF THAT DAY.

  He is so beautiful, I want to hold him,give him loads of kisses from your friends here. Such a big name for a little precious baby, my friends named their son Sabastian Stone, it seemed like such a big name for a little one, but he is 5 now and he fits his name perfectly. Plus it is a name that will give him respect when he older. Thank You for sharing.
