  I have to wonder if the increase this year wasn't in part, due to the articles about young ones getting baptized. I don't remember which mag it was in, but it suggested that 12 or 13 years of age was not to young. I know of many youth who are looked down on if they are not baptized by the time they are 18. The problem with this in my opinion is that youth are encouraged to wait till they are "past the bloom of youth" to get married. Why shouldn't getting baptized be the same??? I think I know the answer. A young ones getting baptized locks him or her into the org. The fear of disfellowshipping takes over and they become enslaved and in the full grip of the mind control world. This doesn't seem to fit with the words of Christ, or his example either. Although he was spiritual at 12 years old,(when he was found in the temple discussing things with the elders) he didn't get baptized until 30. seek2find

  Body Numbness

  last wednesday, i went to bed at 1:30 am, woke up at 4:30 am due to food poisoning, and i couldn't go back to sleep.

  i went to work, and when i got back, i went to bed at 6 or 7 pm.

  i didn't wake up until the following morning, on thursday.. my body felt slightly numb, but i thought i slept wrong.

  One more thing that makes me think it could be MS is that the problem started after a bout of sickness. MS is caused by an over active immune system. The Immune system tries to do it's job and fight against germs and viruses like the flu, but because it's over active it starts attacking the Mylein insulating sheath on the nerves resulting in a short circuiting effect producing weird sensations and numbness, weakness, fatigue, blurred vision and other things. Most people who have it have noticed an increase in their symptoms when exposed to heat. That was the way it was originally diagnosed was by putting someone in a hot bath and seeing if there was an increase in symptoms. seek2find

  Hi Again, since it's been six days, this may very well be an MS exacerbation. If it is, it may last between 3 and 5 or 6 weeks then begin to fade. Your doctor may refer you to a neurologist. I speak from experience. I was diagnosed in 1995. If it is MS, don't let it get you to depressed. It may not be too bad in your case. I still hold a regular job, and have very few problems.   Where do you hide your apostate literature?

  i have to leave it at my workplace.

  i manage, however, to have one book at home.

  oops, well i had intended to post a message along with this new topic and my fingers were faster than my brain (need more coffee .

  well, i suppose it's like preaching to the converted; me obtaining this book, but i guess it's one of those things i just needed to do to finalize everything.. i know there are countless topics on ray franz' book.

  but to finally pick it up, i feel like: 'i can hardly wait to read it'.. before, i more or less figured: 'i am out of the wtbts, so why bother?'.

  I read it in 1996 and don't have a copy anymore because mine got destroyed by my wife when she found out I read it. There were several interesting parts. One was about the tape that was made and how he was promised a copy. But then later when he requested it. His request was denied. I found that interesting, because I understand that taping a JC meeting is prohibited. Maybe this is where that rule got started. Tho I didn't know Ray himself,I did know one of the Prominent persons mentioned in the book, so I felt a little closer to the story than some. I hope you enjoy the read. seek2find PS don't let anyone destroy your copy :)

  There are many things that can cause symptoms like this. But for a lot of people that Have Multiple Sclerosis it starts out with unexplained numbness. Usually get misdiagnosed many times for years before the truth is known. I hope its not the case with you. But it is a possibility. Usually the numbness in MS last for more then a few days, but usually disappears. Sometimes for a long time then re-appears stronger the next time. This is know as relapsing-remitting MS. seek2find

  well, you know how the whole thing came out about only using the "society's literature" came out a few months ago?

  well, a few days later i went up to the po to basically tell on myself that i used strongs concordance and exactly which website i go to for a lot of my research.

  he said that was fine and that the society was just avoiding people spending hours on non wt literature just either wasting there time or trying to prove the society wrong.... ok, so fast forward to this past weekend, i was over his house with my husband for dinner.

  we had a little family roadtrip last weekend, and my wife brought coc to read in the car!

  she read quite a bit of it... .

  what was great is she really sees it as not the truth.

  Gopher, That was over 10 years ago now. I'm still trying to get through to her. Some times I think it's going OK, then she shuts me out and refuses to talk. She's definitely loyal, but is she loyal to the right authority???? seek2find P.S. I love her anyway. That's why I'm still "In" after all these years. I hope and pray she will respond in time.
