hey has anyone seen this website that has a recording of a jw researcher from watchtower headquarters that calls this baptist pastor?
the baptist pastor records the conversation.
it's really good.
WOW! The person at the HQ who called this pastor became provoked and at some points through out the conversation would actually cut the pastor off in mid sentence. His tone of his voice was loud and at times sarcastic. Know wonder when the pastor asked him his name the guy would not tell him his name.
One thing that I noticed was when the JW was reading the scriptures from 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, he misread some of the scriptures and was adding his own words into the conversations. (I was reading along with him from the NWT of the Holy Scriptures)
Thanks for posting this, it was worth listening to.

"i have hope toward god .
over the hope of resurrection of the dead i am being
the resurrection hope draw them closer to god?
Thanks Blondie for those interesting points in the WT study. I liked the point that you made in paragraph # 12. There wasn't any mention of resurrection in the OT.
12 ............ Abraham was convinced that the promise of a seed through Isaacwas guaranteed by Jehovah. Even if Isaac were to die as a sacrifice, Abraham
"reckoned that God was able to raise him up even from the dead."
Reckoned that God was able to raise him up even from the dead
Remember that the word resurrection does not occur in the OT and this is Paul 2,000 years later reckoning what Abraham was thinking.
"we need to talk"!
men hate to hear those four words coming off of their gf's pouty lips.
we know what they are really saying is, that they need to chew our butts and we need to take it!
My husband hates to talk. So that is why I have plenty of girlfriends and ROLLOVER minutes on my phone! haaaa

Happy Birthday! Hope you have a good one!
this is brandon bartlett, formerly 2escaped lifers here on the forum.
quick background: myself, wife, and two boys (10 and 12), left the borg together about three years ago.
were da'd a little over a year ago.
Brandon, I can only tell you what I experienced with my 14 year old daughter. (I was so nieve and not thinking clear. Never did I think that my ex-husband and others were filling my daughters head with crap, not until it was to late)
Her father would pick her up for his weekends and give her articles to read, trying to convince her how 'bad' her mother was for not going to the meetings anymore.
He had elders talk to her.
Had a sister from his hall have a bible study with her.
Showed her pictures with scare tactics of Armagedon and if she stays with me, she will be the one who will die at Armagedon.
Over a 2 year period, by daughter gave in. Now I have lost her completely.
You know the Grandfather more than anyone on this post. (I am sure that he is a very nice Grandfather) But please ask yourself, 'Would he/grandmother or other(s) in the KH try to convince your son of thoughts that his FATHER OR MOTHER were 'bad' for not going to the meetings? Or give him articles to read? Show him pictures of Armagedon to scare him? Over a period of visits would he give in?"
Please be careful

i've seen how some are so burdened by the fact that they were witnesses, that literally, every day is a struggle.
are you in need of therapeutic help because you are or were a jehovah's witness?
I was depressed while I was a JW. There is a lot of burdens put on you when your are a JW. Meetings, field service and hours, studying, bible studies....meeting up to everyones expectations. If you do anything wrong, people notice and gossip about you.
When I left...it all went away. Now I do what I want, when I want and never have to worry about people judging me.
Free at last! Dee
as many of you might have noticed, the may 2005 km has a group of 4 or 5 articles about scheduling family activities.
it includes a blank week long calendar and little slips that you can cut out and paste onto the calendar.
i think this is another crazy, last ditch effort to try and grab the remaining witnesses into the protective brood of the gb.
Richie, I am laughing through this entire post. This is unbelievable that GB is now suggesting schedules for family members. What are they thinking? You know...when you read the KM, I am sure that there were others at the KH thinking the same thing when they reviewed this crap!

big stuff coming up.
i need some people to prohpesize on what might happen.
my wife has been studying with the dubs for more than a year now.
gringojj- maybe I don't understand what you are looking for??? But from the sounds of your thread, your wife is very close to being baptised.
If you are looking for ways to procrastinate and play out this procedure, just so that you can get the kids and avoid the whole court thing! Here is my thoughts....
She will probably need to go out in service before getting baptised. She could always cry, lie and deny the day of the baptism. Tell everyone that she is 'really, really, really sick'???? haaa Then she might have to wait until the next assembly to be baptized. Just throwing out some ideas.
(I have to agree with the other posts made before me, stop the studying, go throught the courts to fight for the kids. But that is just my opinion)

how many are managers/supervisors and have to deal with one or two employees who are complete and udder nightmares, i.e.
not staying in their desk, always behind, always a crisis and have to leave work, has a smart-ass attitude when counseling or cries when you tell them what they need to be doing?
i have one that my boss hired as soon as i was promoted and i have to manage that employee and my boss knew about this person was when they was hired!!
I was a Information Technology supervisor for several years....from my own experience, I only had one guy who was the employee from hell.
At first, I tried everything with him. Praised him,, gave him additional projects (so that he would be recognized along with the rest of my group). Tried the friendly appoach. Showed him special treatment. Gave him a good review for a pay raise. Nothing worked! He continued to torment me, in ways that you had described and more. (always late for work, long lunches, went through my desk, leave early, sending IM messages all day long, work not being completed. etc...)
After months of this, I finally found him gambling on-line at work and turned him into HR. I thought that he would be terminated, but they gave him a verbal and written warning. Two days later, my car was keyed and scrached on both sides (from front to bumper)!
Since I didn't have any prove that he had done this to my brand new Acura, I did the next best thing. I went to upper management and had him moved to another department.
Believe me....get rid of the headache!
