That's a great point Elsewhere. Matthew 28:20 proves that the invisible presence started from Christ's words 2000 years ago (how else could he have always been present whenever two or three were gathered in his name) so the second coming, Corinthians 11:26, must be the visible one that is still future, otherwise there is no need for the memorial etc. So nothing of significance could possibly have happened in 1914.

last few assemblies ive ever visited ive noticed frequently one phrase brother so and so, an elder, etc, and also running his own business ive heard this time and time again when theyd introduce someone to preset their experience and if im not wrong even once or twice when theyve introduced a new speaker.. .
ive also heard from others who have noticed the same lately though most of them are interpreting it along the lines well, it is just a good example of how it is possible to be a self-employed witness and not be part of this corrupt business world.

Any "Miraculous" experience happen to you like the ones said at Conventions
by soundbox_guy ini had to sit through those experiences at the convention, i was wondering, did any of you used to be one of those people on stage giving an experience about how something miraculously happened like getting the exact amount of money you needed to pay your rent on the day it was due?
i always hear the stories, but can anybody actually tell me something like this has happened to them when they were a good little witness?
and if it has, did these sort of "events" stop taking place after you left?

I would ask a JW how people in every religion come out with exactle the same examples of little miracles. Wow. Jehovah is blessing just about everybody in exactle the same way, Allelujah!

A smashing post Elsewhere. I read in Apocalypse Delayed that it was Maria Russell who first interpreted the rhetorical question in Jesus' faithful & discreet slave parable, as if it referred to some kind of appointment. She applied it to her husband Charles Taze. Even several years after Russell's death Rutherford was still publishing books claiming Biblical proof that CT Russell alone was that FDS.
Of course he had to change it to a class when he personally had to do some very different feeding, when the FDS spiritual food turned out to be very perishable.

If they are not spirit begotton, (not one in the congo I visited, then how could the holy spirit be working with them?
And if Jesus is not their mediator between God and men, then why do they pray in Jesus' name?
My JW friend keeps telling me that since becoming a witness, he has found true joy & happiness for the first time in his life. At the same time he has started taking prozac. He says he feels what he is told he should be feeling, but the person he is lying to is himself.

You do all know of course that humans will never be able to reach space, the Watchtower said so:

I'm leaving on Monday...

we got a cheap last minute holiday...to egypt, so we're quite excited.
i'm gonna take my tape-measure and double check the length of the main passageway in the great pyramid at giza.

I'm gonna take my tape-measure and double check the length of the main passageway in the Great Pyramid at Giza. That's the one the first Watchtower President taught was designed by God and the second Watchtower President taught was designed by Satan.
I'll let you all know if the measurement proves the date of 1914 or some other date. If it actually measures 2006 inches, I will come back and preach the end is at hand! Wish me and my tape measure luck!
