My conversation with my pioneer mother
by caligirl inas freedom96 noted on an earlier post, my mother is in town.
we have had a situation this week concerning his son, which he well elaborate on at a later date, and i don?t feel it is my place to relay the story first.
suffice to say for the moment that we are both hurting immensely from what has been said, and it has brought on some pretty strong emotions.

Foiled conversion attempt!
by caligirl insomeone will be very disappointed tomorrow morning!
i am home on maternity leave right now, and this has given me the opportunity to meet people in our neighborhood that i might never have come in contact with otherwise.
a few weeks ago, i started chatting with a mother who was out for a walk with her toddler.

Where do you look?
by caligirl indo you primarily reply to threads from the active topics list when you log on, or do you take the time to check out the other sections as well?
just curious!
most of the time i tend to stick to the topics that are already on the active list, which i admit might be short changing perfectly good topics that havn't made it to the top pages.

Radio program in Australia....
by caligirl ini received an email from diane wilson on an interview to be aired this week, and i wanted to pass the info along for anyone that might be interested in listening in!
david rutledge, producer of "the religion report" at abc radio national in sydney, australia, just confirmed that our interview on awakening of a jehovah's witness: escape from the watchtower society, will be aired june 4 at 8:30 am australia date/time on abc radio national (so it would be june 3 for us in the us).. .
also, he says there'll be a transcript of the program, along with a real audio link for online listening, available from wednesday evening (u.s. time) on their website at http://www.abc.net.au/rn/talks/8.30/relrpt/ .

Assembly Invite
by caligirl inmy sister and i were talking yesterday, and she shared with me a bit of a letter she received from a girl that she was friends with growing up.
my sister, like me, left more than 6 years ago and will never ever go back.
people have left me alone, but my sister gets lots of invitations to go back.

A little Monday Morning fun
by caligirl ini just got back from the doctors, where i decided to entertain myself a bit.
the waiting room was not too crowded, and i spotted a few recent copies of the watchtower and awake on the magazine table.
so i broke out my pen, and left a message on the inside of each of the magazines.

Help with stepson
by caligirl ini started this post under kids and parenting, then i realized that not nearly as many people look under there, so i put it here also.. my stepson lives with his "witness" mother.
he is early teens, and recently baptized (he tells us it is because other kids his age did it) he has heard my son talk about holidays and had no qualms accepting christmas gifts from my family last year.
i think he knows that we are fully "out", though the subject has never been discussed.

Yet another batch of "new light"
by caligirl ini was talking to my sister yesterday, who spent the weekend with our still active parents.
over the weekend, they all had dinner with another couple, who were sharing some of the "latest news.
" i am getting this second hand, but my sister is excellent at remembering exactly what was said.
