there seems to be a common theme going on in the jw community.
at the first sign of a possible committment, every jw rushes you (with guilt) to show that you are serious.then, at the first sign of trouble everyone wants you to shoulder your responsibilities.finally, they damn/shun you if you can't handle things or choose/decide to quit.. i've seen this scenario played out with: interested couples rushed to engagement.dating couple rushed into marriage.bible studies & young persons rushed into baptism.any jw with 'free' time (meaning non-wt activities) rushed into pioneer service.young pioneer brothers rushed into bethel.. have you seen the same in your areas?
can you think of other scenarios?
I've seen this scenario played out with:
- Interested couples rushed to engagement.

Well, I have plenty of experience w/ 3 of those. I'll let you guys guess which ones.

no doubt we've heard statements like,
I believe blessings are pretty much self-fulfilled. How many times have we heard, "if you are diligent in service you will be blessed"? How many of us, then, felt somewhat happy after service? Once a person is indoctrinated, in any religion, that planted though or perceived feeling will become a reality to that person.

according to yesterday's (may 1) article in parade magazine, one of the main causes of dogs biting is a male that's not neutered.
we have a beautiful golden retriever that is about 10 months old.
sometimes he's out of control and i want to neuter the dog but my husband has steadfastly refused.
Have you ever seen a post-op dog, look up at you. With a tear in it's eye and ask you, "why, why?"

what if the legal advice that the governing body got to divide up into all those diferent organizations was actually a very clever sceem to take way control from the governing body,, and they fell for it hook line and sinker???
anybody who has been in the legal department at bethel, for just a short time must realize the gb are seriously full of shit.
that's why i think either for selfish reasons or just plane disgust,, some individual or perhaps several individuals could easily play on the fears of the governing body to manipulate them to make huge mistakes, like dividing up into all these different organizations.
That's my thought, taxes. It's better to spread out "donations" over 8 different entities then try to keep the one lump sum under one name.

anyway like i said a nice guy he promised to call again real soon that was prior to the memorial of 2003, well the memorialo of 2005 has come and gone and he still hasn't come back to visit.
I believe there are many that care just as I believe there are many that believe they have the "truth." I also believe the higher up go in the "organization" you change from a caring role to a damage control role.

Yes, Chile has had a private account system since the min-80's. And right now, same with Galveston, TX. People are retiring and getting more money then they did while still working.

To hell with the poor, the middle class and the rich who think they are entitled to checks from the government.
Sorry, but wrong. That's why I want to new SS format. It's not checks for the Government; it's your own money. That's the beauty of it.
