  No I haven't. I have heard a few people who indicate that they're very happy to be out say 'never say never' with regards to the chance of them going back. I actually find it difficult to talk to them after that because I think that no matter what they might say, they're still just as sensitive to any criticism of the org as they ever were, and their aposta-radar is still on full power. I've got a few friends who are kind-of-but-not-quite-out like that, and I'm finding it's better to not try to engage them in a big conversation.

  Personally, I'm glad that my family knows now that they can't expect me back. It's good that they're not living in hope of that.

  i have absolutely no idea how to get through to some people.... i mentioned the 1935 change to a jw, and told him that i'd seen the change coming... it was a logical progression, not a revelation from god to the fds.... his response ?.

  "i've also had changes revealed to me before the fds makes the change, it just goes to show that jehovah reveals it to his people and that the witnesses have the truth.".

  My advice, very simple, you go, and you go to both, and you tell that no it all elder, REALLY LOUDLY, IN FRONT OF EVERYONE, TO KISS YOUR ASS!!!

  Don't do that - it's your sisters day, not yours. Be quiet, and loving, and calm. Be the person there who makes sense, who makes her happy, and isn't an idiot.

  hello folks.

  thought this would be an important subject to discuss, got the idea for this based on reading from some posters the concern they have for the imbalanced views witnesses have of their marriages.

  i have some experience in this, as i was married 19 years to a witness woman (staunch fanatical witness ) , whom i married at age 19 in 1979 as a witness myself.

  I imagine that having a Jehovah in a marriage would be like having a makebelieve friend who presents to one as the all-guiding counsellor and to the other as the invisible dragon father-in-law from hell.

  well it arrived today... 50.poundi sent him$ 50----he only got 23.80 i think if i remember rightly.. i received back in the exchange $56.37 so i was better off.. he did write a letter with it.

  but he just mentioned how your all out to "get" him..... just thought i would let you all know he did come across!!!!!!.

  I'm new...and heartbroken

  i'm still up early hours in the morning, because i'.

  so upset with what my mum said to me on the phone today.

  she told me she got the sack a week ago because her boss didn't agree with my mum being a jehovah's witness and that she lets 'children die' because of the no blood rules.

  Hi and welcome! Sorry to hear you're blue.

  We all love our mum. What you have to do is stay in her life, and be the one on her side. Also important; do non-witness stuff with her, the kind of stuff that will show her that there's life outside the box - take her to places that will make her mind grow. Take up a new hobby with her.

  You can't make your mum any more happy than she is when she has you around having fun with her. You're the most important thing in her life. Be there for her if you can.

  i have been in all my life, im a fader, father, elder, i was ms for 5 years, raising my 3 boys alone for 4 years , single, brought many people in jw, all of my family in, i know its fake, but i went to my sons game and when the anthem came on, i wouldnt put my hand on my heart, and then looked around to see if anyone saw me, when will these guilty feelings go away?.

  Hi Big D and welcome. Mmm, I don't think I can answer your question, but it may help to know that I have observed that it happens for just about everybody eventually. I don't feel guilty anymore, I think what it took to get rid of that was discovering a lot of ugly truths about this thing I thought was my faith.
