I just remembered I worked with a guy, years ago, that was not a JW but was a fanatical Pentecostal type and always preaching to people. Every once in a while it looked like one of his eyes was rolling around in his head and doing weird things--it made me look away because it was creepy. I always thought he was possessed or something.

Is it just me, or do j-dubs have "crazy eyes"?
by Check_Your_Premises inhave you ever noticed someone who has a 1000 yard (meters for you english types.
well i keep noticing that dub women in particular have this creepy 1000 yard stare.
and then a while after my wife got dunked she and the kids got in one of those picture booths.

i thought i made it clear when i stated that i am no longer one of jehovah's witnesses anymore and that i am on your side.
however, the impression i am getting is that no one is really understanding what i am getting at.

I think Smelly has passive-aggressive tendoncies. Why else would he keep coming back with the motive of making people mad? He sounds pretty angry himself, and here he has the safety and security of knowing that when he posts, no one really knows who he is.

later diagnosed with adhd, he could not sit quietly if his life depended on it.

A Good Response to the JW "you don't believe us, you must be bad" attitude
by Check_Your_Premises indub: <insert your own generic, typical, obnoxious jw comment that hints to, or directly states that the only reason you aren't a dub is because you are some kind of a-hole>.
non-dub: "that is interesting, but maybe i could tell you what i think about that.
see for me, i try very hard not to presume that a person has a dishonest or bad motive behind their choices as a believer of jehovah, because i wouldn't like anybody to treat me that way.

I'm thinking about my response if JWs come to my door. I'm thinking of telling them that I've learned about all the abuse that goes on and I've done a lot of research on their religion--but I'm not letting on that I used to be one.

It's funny you mentioned that. I remember showing my girlfriend my sister's highschool yearbook to see if she knew my sister. She pointed out how different my sister's eyes were compared to the other kids, that they had a 'blank' look about her eyes. She went on to explain to me how people who were involved in cults looked like that. Weird.

Hi everyone--I haven't finished reading through this whole thread, but I want to join in too. I picked love2bworldly because I love celebrating holidays, voting, living in America, making new friends, and attending non-JW churches. In other words--living a normal life. My real name comes from a longer name that I think means something like 'dedicated to God.'
