  Elder Condemned Me to Death

  i have been thinking about this because of another post where the question asks have any of us ever been blackmailed to stay in the watchtower organization.. no, i won't say i was blackmailed; however, after i wrote my note of disassociation, the congregation overseer wanted to visit me in my home with two other elders.

  i repeatedly said no, that i would not allow them to chastise me in my own home.

  therefore, all of my conversations were over the phone with the overseer.

  It's funny that they think they have the power to condemn someone to eternal death.

  I have been out for many years, but about 5 years ago my best friend from my teenage years called me and wanted to go to lunch. She was moving to another state, and she said during lunch (after I said I was not interested in becoming an active JW ever because I was happier and felt guilt-free) that well this is the last time she would see me because she was moving and Armageddon was coming. My response to myself was whatever, I don't really care if she thinks that because I don't believe in that crap anymore.

  As our light continues to shine brighter and brighter as the day dawns, we will now be using our Christian-trained conscience in such matters as to celebrating holidays, hanging windchimes, sexual relations between married persons, and what movies a person chooses to watch.

  However the elders may still continue to discipline the congregation by disfellowshipping any sisters who continue to share in the field service ministry without the wearing of pantyhose, or brothers who are involved in the full-time preaching work who actually use Bibles instead of Watchtowers.

  And now onto our Watchtower study....

  for those of yall that didn't know, kristi was a 37-yr-old ms patient that i took care of for the last year of her life.

  she had a wonderful ribald sense of humor and talked like a sailor at times.

  but it was all to cover up the ultra-sweet and tender heart she had.

  Bone Pain Update

  to those who were good enough to respond via pm and post to this friday morning update of mine on the vigil thread:in fact, last night was a rough one for me, beginning about 2 am est.

  on wednesday, i went to get my complete blood count (cbc) and i had bottomed out in white blood cells, so home to virtual quarantine after a shot of white blood cell production stimulator neupogen.

  one of the side effects can be bone pain, and i felt some pressure in my sternum and vertebrae, but not too terrible.

  i thought it might be mildly amusing considering the lack of emphasis that any of these things are wrong according to the majority of the population.

  8) I have grown obsessed with Buffy the Vampire Slayer (laugh if you must- I blame it on my father).

  Yeah me too on that one, except I am more obsessed with her ex-boyfriend Angel--the vampire with the soul. I imagine myself doing all kinds of naughty things with that YUMMY vampire!!!

  I see them standing with the magazines sometimes at the lightrail station on my way to work, but I haven't got the nerve up yet to hand them one of my own tracts I printed out for anti-witnessing.

  Also was having a nice conversation with a lady while I was getting my nails done and she dropped some comment about her friend's husband being a minister of JWs. I must have had a funny look on my face because the conversation abruptly halted at that point. I was laughing to myself.

  Funny I had totally forgotten about this--I used to never talk about it or tell people I used to be involved because I was so scared I would run into some JW, and then they would have to shun me. Now I could give a rat's behind if people know; in fact now I tell people about the research I'm doing on the JW cult and how destructive it is.

  Does anyone else flip off the Kingdom Hall when they drive by?

  so it has become habit for me to go out of my way when driving to make sure i can give it the finger as i drive by.

  i especially like to do this on the way to one of my favorite bars, especially on meeting nights just so people who knew me can see me do it.

  i don't know why, but this has become a tradition of sorts.
