Some of you guys really crack me up.
I want to donate my organs and the rest of me can go to science experiments. My family can have a small memorial service with lots of pictures up, and tell stories about me. I don't care if it's a small group as long as my kids are there and hopefully think I was a great mom.
I hope I live to be really old for my kids' sakes. They don't have contact with their loser fathers.
what would it take for you to break up a relationship with someone you really love?
would it be physical abuse, refusing to go out and work, abuse of child, or whatever else?
I left 2 spouses for all of the above reasons. My 3 kids are 18, 16 and 12, and they are awesome! I know they would not be doing as well if I had stayed in my horrible previous marriages. I was a single mom of 3 kids for 7 years. I am proud to say that I always had a job, place to live, a car, clothes and food and medical benefits; and I always made sure my kids never changed schools due to my divorces so that they could keep their circle of friends when their worlds were messed up. So I get really pissed off at people who neglect their kids! There is no reason to let other people abuse you or your children.

my wife and i just got home from the gym and there were 2 jw's at our door.
i couldn't help myself....i felt rage building up inside but i tried to play it cool.
just coming off the ne apostafest and hearing everyones story just pissed me off when i saw those two dubs standing there.

one of the things that has always irked me is the society's position on illegal aliens.. paraphrasing a us boe letter (can't remember the date, not a recent one though), elders were instructed that they are not "policemen", not responsible for enforcing "caesar's laws".
so, if there are any illegal aliens in the congregation, elders do not report them to any authority.
no (congregational) disciplanary action at all is taken against them.. however, illegal aliens are not "exemplary", in that they are knowingly breaking caesar's laws.
It figures that the loving brothers would try to get free labor by encouraging such ones to do quick builds.
i just came across this website, i have a good friend who is finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, he has been through alot being involved with wt organization, i patiently (sometimes) waited for him to see for himself what the truth was.
i never said too much thinking it would push him farther in...........

were you ever the victim of serious crime such as physical assault, mugging, burglary, arson, big financial fraud, kidnapping, etc?
LouBelle--wow you have made me think twice about taking a taxi. I attended a class last week about how not to become a victim of crime and I learned that many women are raped by tow truck drivers and now I don't want to use them or a taxi either. Glad you are ok!

we were told at our convention that "some" brothers and sisters exercise up to an hour or 2 a day.
"some" even join gyms.
then we were told that this would be "self-serving" and a real waste of valuable time better spent on theocratic things.. ouch!.

i have been thinking about this because of another post where the question asks have any of us ever been blackmailed to stay in the watchtower organization.. no, i won't say i was blackmailed; however, after i wrote my note of disassociation, the congregation overseer wanted to visit me in my home with two other elders.
i repeatedly said no, that i would not allow them to chastise me in my own home.
therefore, all of my conversations were over the phone with the overseer.
