My Wife Just Called Me...
by XJW4EVR inshe found an envelope with my name and "personal & confidential" typed on it taped to the door of our apartment.
i asked her to open it and read it, and evidently there is some evidence of apostacy that they want to review with me this saturday (4-21-06) at 7:30 pm.. the funny thing is that i have not been to a meeting since 1993, the last time i was at a circuit assembly or district convention was 1995!
i know that i have been spotted going to my church (3 blocks from the king-dumb hell).

Do you still refer to God as Jehovah?
by nomoreTRUTHplz ini am curious if anyone still calls their god jehovah.
when i think of jehovah all i can think of is what they taught me.
it was true at first i felt a much more personal and stronger relationship with god when giving him a name, however certain things they taught forced me to see him as a cold and unloving god.

I don't use the name Jehovah because I don't want to be tied to JWs in any way shape or form. I don't pray very often but when I do, I use God.

KW - Copy that letter, edit it slightly and go post it on some dubs front doors, let them all get nervous lol. That would be hilarious!!!

if I was recognized during my Memorial night shout at the J-Dubs at the Alex.
What's the scoop on your Memorial night shout at the JDubs at the Alex???
I would share the info with your church group and have them announce what the JWs do to people that have not attended for many years.

A memory from being a JW
by KW13 ini remember when mum first started going (for the second time).
she was disfellowshipped, thus no one would talk to her or me if i was with her.
i kinda felt cut off too.

I remember one of the first times I visited the Hell Hall as a disfellowshipped JW at my old hall. An older lady was so happy to see me there she gave me the biggest smile when I was in the restroom (probably because no one else could see her smiling at a disfellowshipped person in the bathroom.) I remember how she made me feel, it was an incredibly warm smile. Everyone else wouldn't look at me or frowned when they were around me which made me uncomfortable and made me wonder why I was trying to come back to the so called 'truth'.

I don't know how to flirt very well, honestly I wish I did. Sometimes I end up doing the pursuing and it usually doesn't turn out well.
I read a stupid book once called "The Rules" that says under no circumstances should a woman do the pursuing. What's the opinion about that? I would like some responses on that.

JW urban legends
by Highlander ini remember very few of the details, of when, where and exactly what took place, however a few years ago i was told the story about three elders that were walking together and the middle.
elder was struck and killed by lightning.
the other two elders went to his house to help out his wife and discovered 'apostate' material in their home.

I remember the John Denver story! And I remember the story about the rapist hiding under a bed and stealing the JWs Bible. The Jdubs are such a small little society aren't they?

These stories are hilarious and bring back a lot of memories.
I remember one lady named Jackie who studied as a teenager and whose mother was not a JW; her mother regular used a ouija board and a demon used to tell her mother to stop Jackie from hunting him or something like that. Her mother would write everything down that the board said and Jackie would find the pieces of paper in the closet. Later of course Jackie burned the ouija board but it wouldn't burn until she repeatedly said Hobas name.

I know where you're coming from. One minute I believe in the Bible and call myself a Christian, and the next minute I feel like I'm Agnostic, not sure of what to believe. I feel like I'm in limbo land sometimes, but I feel like I don't care anymore and just take life one day at a time.
