your exceptional math and verbal skills make you very adept at explaining things to others ? and at anticipating and predicting patterns. And that's just some of what we know about you from your IQ results.
Nerd!
hehe.. I am just jealous you have 27pts on me!! lol

I took the "Super IQ" test on www.emode.com....
113... I'm dumb... lol
Apparently I am the following:
Practical Wordsmith. This means you are practical, detail-oriented, and know a good thing when you see it. Your thinking is clear and your reality is accurate. You are also highly organized. Your secret weapon is your verbal acuity. You use words to eloquently convey your ideas to others and are very good at expressing yourself in both personal and professional situations.

Seeker4 Invited to a Committee Meeting Tonight
by Seeker4 inyup, they are going ahead with it.
i spent most of yesterday, sunday, writing what turned out to be a 10 page letter to the body of elders about why i feel they are out of line in seeking to disfellowship me (for those new to this situation, i've been seperated from my wife and living with another woman for the past six months.
i've not been an active witness for a decade.).

I would say at this point them wanting to DF you has very little to do with you still being considered a witness...
They want to officially tell the rest of the "flock" not to talk to you.
Damage control.
Good Luck!

WTF long hair is unacceptable? Bible says so
by tsunami_rid3r in1 corinthians 11:14 says: does not nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him;

As Scully says, if you take a close look at the CONTEXT of Corinthians 11:12-15 you will see paul was teaching a PRINCIPAL not a rule.
In fact, 1 Tim 2:9 encourages "well-arranged dress" the YPA has the following to say on the topic:
" 'Well arranged dress' would naturally be neat and clean." YPA Pg 94
Since times have changed since Paul wrote Corinthians and the "rule" isn't applicable the pricipal should be applied. I cannot see how she could object to the length of you hair as long as it is neat and clean as per YPA!!
Witness parents... gotta make a "judicial comittee" over everything!!

Please help me understand about JWs as I have no idea about this religion
by unknown ini am looking for some one to help me understand a particular issue as a jw would see it.... if a single practicing jw was to have an affair with a married person (not a jw) knowing that they were married what would come of them or how would they feel about this being brought with a strict jw background?
i am trying to understand this as i have no knowlege of this religion.
any help would be appreciated.

1 Corinthians 6:13-18 "...flee from fornication..."
If a single JW has sex with anyone... married or not married it is considered a very serious sin that could easiily lead to disfellowshipping.

Maybe you should remind your mom of the story of Samson... Judges 16:17... his long hair was a sign of his Naziriteship and the key to his strength which Jehovah had granted him...when he revealed his secret and Delilah cut his long hair, he paid with his life.

Grace: That is a great story.... I remember being a kid and watching the plate go around to see if anyone partook...
They used to annouce how many partakers there were a year... it is in the stats:
http://www.watchtower.org/statistics/worldwide_report.htm
2004 MEMORIAL PARTAKERS WORLDWIDE: 8,570
If you think about it that is a high number... 144,000 stretched out over 33 C.E. - 2004 (1,971 years)
That would be an average of about 73 people a year realizing they are annointed...
8,570 people is 5% of the annointed class that are still alive 1,971 years after the selection started?
Also, correct me if I am wrong but wasn't EVERYONE that was a "true christian" servent of Jehovah between 33 C.E. and 1933 part of the anointed class?
If that is the case and there are still 8,570 of them left on earth, then that mean up until 1933 there were only 135,430 faithful christians in the 1,900 years between 33-1933?!?!! That doesn't seem like very many...

WHY DO YOU INSIST on clinging to the Bible as anything other than fiction?
by Terry inhave you made the same effort investigating the history of how scripture was written down, compiled, redacted and selected as you did reinforcing your jw doctrines week after week at the kingdom hall?.
if you have; then you know it cannot be factual.. there have always been agendas.
the people with the agendas needed to wield power and using an invisible backup agent was a great device for controlling others.. somebody is always insisting they have an invisible and mysterious source of divine information and selling it like hotcakes and syrup.

I think the bible is a great novel... inspired of god is pushing it.
There are definetly things to be learnt from it's stories. (but then again you can learn a lesson from "Green Eggs and Ham")
I think it is the programming kicking in but I still have great respect for it as a work of literature; but to say it is "God's Word" is a bit far fetched for me at this point.
I am definetly still facsinated by it...
