my mom hates the daniel book and doesn't even remember studying it before.
(she's 79 today).

Personally, I liked the Daniel Book! At least it was a little more challenging than the "Knowledge" book...
The bookstudies that really bored me were the EASY books that eveyone knew the answer right away... "Greatest Man" ; "Knowledge"; "Live Forever" blah blah blah
had a bizzare experience last night.
i went to see the movie mr. and mrs. smith (which, by the way, was pretty decent).
my girlfriend and i showed up about 20 minutes before the show started, so we picked out some seats and then each went to the restroom in turn while the other watched the seats.
Wow... the JW's in your area are bold!! LOL
My BF's parents gave me a gift certificate for my fav restaurant for my B-day last year...(YAY B-DAY PRESENTS!! :D) Of course, my fav place happens to be a common JW hangout.
My BF and I took a seat and were looking at the menu when the PO and his wife walked in and sat down at the table next to ours. They didn't notice at first (since I no doubt looked a little diff had seen them in a couple of years)... once they realized I was sitting less than 8ft away, I saw them talking close amongst themselves while looking over in my direction. The looks on their faces... it was like they had seen a ghost... the two of them, close to tears got up and left the resturant. I cannot imagine them being bold enough to stay and eat there!
I also saw some of my old friends at the theatre... the funny part is it was a young guy/girl that would SOOO NOT BE ALLOWED to be dating yet... they were making out!! Hehe... It gave me great pleasure to let my dad know what they were up to!! LOL Hopefully they will get kicked out too and we can be friends again! LOL
i am organizing a protest rally at the wts hq at georgetown, ontario for saturday, june 25 from 12:00 noon till 3:00pm.
if there is enough protestors, we will get national media coverage.
afterwards we are going out to a restaurant.
Oh... I may be able to come.. I live in Montreal, Georgetown isn't tooo far.

In my old cong there was about 5 spots that were much closer to the door... sort of looked like private parking... the elders always parked there... it was an unwritten rule. No one said anything, just everyone knew.
I sat in the same seat at the KH for years... it had my butt print in it!
if god's original plan was to have just one husband and wife and not many wives or concubines, why did he "allow" it?

Everyday.
It is like being a toddler but with the responsibilities of an adult. I feel like I have to learn to live all over from the beginning again.
Not only that, but in my case I cannot see/speak to my family since they are all still members. This is the biggest cause of depression for me. I left when I was 17 and since then have not had the benefit of a set of parents to talk to. The most upsetting part to me is coming to the realization that the organization is more important to your parents/familty than you are.
I honestly think there should be clinic to help ex-jw's through the process of "re-entering" normal society!!

someone used this logic in a talk about the "resurrection hope" at the kingdom hall last week:.
"if people go to heaven, then when jesus raised lazarus from the dead then does that mean jesus grabbed lazarus back from heaven and put him back in his body?".
how would those in this forum respond to this?.
This is a simple question:
The hudred and fourty four thousand who are destined for heaven were only selected after Jesus died... Lazarus died for the first time before Jesus did... therefore he was not in heaven he was dead... awaiting ressurection to earth.
My question is: which death counts? the first one which makes him part of the "earthly class" or the second which would make him part of the "heavenly class"?

my cat has recently taken to lounging in the litter box!!!!!
it is the nastiest behavior i've ever seen from a cat!!!!.
to make it worse, he is white and has very long hair!!!!.
My last cat did the same thing... turns out the vet said it is normal behavior if the cat is feeling sick.
