  Do you still believe?

  i have found a lot of people no longer believe in god or jesus since leaving the organization.. im very shocked at this.

  if you dont believe, can you tell me what brought to that conclusion?.

  i was told to look at the thread that one of the members in this forum has created, they are very interesting, but i wanted to get a some feed back from different individuals.. thanks!

  When I left the org, I began to look more critically at the bible as a whole not just the interpretation of JW's.

  So far I have not found any solid proof that the bible is inspired of god. As such I have lost faith entirely in the concept of "God" and "Jesus" in the traditional Christian sense.

  However, I do believe in "higher power" who I refer to as the goddess. I have since come to some much more logical conclusions about our purpose in life; developped a reasonable set of morals; and have become much more in-tune with myself, my surroundings and the people around me. I feel I have become a much more peaceful person after shedding biblical belifes.

  TV series&movies-CURSING!!!

  how do you feel about tv shows & movies at present?.

  do you think it is appropriate for children to be viewing comedies with cursing and sexual encounters?.

  don't you think movies have more cursing even though they are rated "g"?.

  Cursing, sex and violence is on TV and in Movies because it SELLS! If the majority of people didn't want to see it, it wouldn't be everywhere!

  Hibi & BS: If you don't want to see it TURN IT OFF!

  I think it is about time that you realize that not everyone has to think/act and make decisions based on YOUR set of morals. If you feel it is inappropriate for your kids or even for yourself that is fine... but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

  Personally, if my kids grow up to be as close minded as you I would consider myself a complete FAILURE as a parent.

  I don't like violent movies/TV either and I would not allow my kids to watch it. However, I love the L word.... I watch it every week.

  LOL... you don't have to try, they do a great job of that themselves!

  I didn't see any "attacking" on the part of the householder (a.k.a convicted criminal!) either.... he asked some hard hitting questions but not unreasonable or stupid questions.

  Good job taping it! I wish I had been this informed and not so scared when I was DFed it would have been great to give them a bit of trouble!

  Recently I am on a Monopoly / Risk / Life kick but I also really enjoyed the following:

  Scatagories; Taboo; Trivial Pursuit; Balderdash; Othello

  I've been getting into Texas Holdem Poker recently... that is pretty fun.

  Underworld Evolution? Aeon Flux? Anyone seen these yet?

  I saw underworld evolution on opening night... I really liked it... but then again I liked the first one too.

  If you haven't seen the first one, rent it first.. .the story really picks up where the first one left off.

  Marriage - Why bother?

  yet another friend's marriage has broken down(5th), this one i did not predict at all.

  it came as a shock to me.

  they got married after 10 years of living together so it's not like they didn't know each other.

  Marriage is expensive.

  I have been living with my "hubby" for 4 years now and the only reason we are not "legally married" is because it is expensive. It is a big pricey party that we cannot afford to have right now.

  I will not be anymore/less committed to our relationship if I was married. It would not effect my day to day life.

  The Quebec government considers him my husband anyways since we have been living together for 4 years. In Quebec, women even keep their own last name and when you have kids you can decide what you want their last name to be, mine, his, or a combination of the two.

  I really don't think I will bother getting married, it won't change anything anyways.
